Why are Sachin and Ponting in the team . Ponting should be replaced by Glen Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik should be made Mumbai Indians captain .Sachin and Ponting are playing test cricket in IPL .Sachin has become a liability to India as well as Mumbai Indians teams .

sad to see sachin being a shadow of his old self
by rich on Apr 18, 2013 09:33 AM  | Hide replies

having been a sachin fan over the years, i now find it terribly sad to see that he is literally struggling to make his presence felt on the batting strip.Age is catching up and i guess its upto him as to how he would like to be remembered. He mustnt forget that public memory is short and all that people will remember is how he struggled to make a decent score in the last few years and how he actually cost a youngster / rising star his place in the side!!! having said all of this, i know sachin might score in the next match and then fail for a few more times and people will say that he still has it in him..... i mean c'mon.... if you have to succeed once in 10-15 matches, you dont need a sachin!!! any cricketer worth his salt will succeed once in 10-15 matches.

on the other hand look at dravid.... still making meaningful contributions on the field....still calling the shots in his team but you still find him away from the limelight..... now thats what i call a true legend!!!!!

What I wanted to say, you have dwelt in much finer details. It's sad that we have to see Sachin's playing in IPL6 version. Except against PWI, the way he was out for LBW, the way he was run out, and now the way he played yesterday. Sachin, please do not make future generations to remember you in this form. Your good performances should not fade away with the present.

Pollard
by sanjay on Apr 18, 2013 09:32 AM  | Hide replies

After three wickets down cheaply the should have sent Rayadu instead of Pollard.
He would have tried to stabilize innings. Pollard place is not in middle order but down the order. Only after 14 or 15 overs pollard should be promoted up the order.
He can not play stabilizers role. He can not do controlled aggression. What ever half cooked cricket Pundits may say.

But I think Great Bl00d Sucker like Ambanis won't shy ousting him openly.Ambanis are here to make profits and Sachin is now an old Horse.

Rahul ahead of Sachin: yes ,yes ,yes..........
by Gulzara Azad on Apr 18, 2013 08:53 AM  | Hide replies

Rahul is a fine person, good human being,a balanced Cricketer who did not do many things to get extra buck for himself, but encouarged many to join the game by making an exit .Let Sachin emuloate Rahul. How soon and how well,of course is the question?????

Keep day dreaming , Sachin will never retire. Sachin needs to be sacked by selection team n nt rested as always.
