Keiron Pollard

Over the years we have seen so many stunning catches from KP for MI in IPL the most decisive one from last match vs CSK of the one and only MSD.I don't know how he is placed exactly in that part of the field where the batsman targeted to clear the ropes. We have seen great ground fielders but KP is the best air fielder ever.

WILL MI LEARN FROM THIS MATCH ?
by damodaran mohan on Apr 07, 2013 02:24 PM

Fabulous. Yes, that is the one word to describe the exciting finish. Good, so at last the star studded MI win with Keiron Pollard getting to bat adequate no. of overs fecilitated more by providence than by design due to quick fall of 4 wickets. If the wickets had not fallen swiftly be rest assured Bangaluru story would have been repeated yet again for MI. However on the bowling front MI did much better by keeping the CSK strike rate mostly under 6.Even during batting although wickets were tumbling but Dinesh Kartik did well to maintain a run rate of over 7 which helped Pollard take the final score to 148 which ultimately turned out to be good enough. This win should give lot of confidence to MI and we can only hope Mi would have learnt its lessons from this match and come up with better bating plan especially use of Keiron Pollard. CSK on the other hand with the exception of Dhoni looked rusty in their first match. which they normally are as slow starters. So much so inspite of Dhoni’s finishing cameos had to settle for defeat thanks to the spectacular catch of Pollard.Fielding was awful and catching pathetic Further, although they claim to have strengthened bowling but compared to MI, CSK bowling looks much weaker. Besides, on the Chennai pitch chasing could be tricky for them against a good bowling sides as seen yesterday.

No it is not mistake. What if he gets out early to spinners? opposition has that choice in middle overs. He is better off with pacers.no then who will hit in last four overs when negative bowling starts ?

The way Bhajji has played the first 2 matches for Mumbai Indians, it is crystal clear that he still has enough cricket left in him. He bowled economically in the first match and in the second game his first 2 overs were very well bowled & the wicket of Mike Hussey was icing on the cake. He batted well with Keiron Pollar & took the score to a respected level.

Well done Bhajji so far. Good luck for the rest of the tournament.

One thing is proved Bhajji is dropped is dropped bcoz of CSK SON Ashwin and second he is stil good enough to play and win matches for India.. People talk of polard but forget bhajji if he was not around to support polly MI gone by 110 or so and wkt of Hussy changed the game and hence too difficult for MSD in the end

You are right Navdeep. Class is permanent and there is no replacement for that. Bhajji is a victim of bad circumstances otherwise he is still good enough to win the matches.

Dhoni smartly ignored the question from Ian Bishop when the latter asked about Bhajji's role in putting a target on board that CSK failed to defend. But his looks said everything.

MI can win , if the useless sachin & rohit are dropped. another example that they are thriving on the patronage of board / higher ups.

Dravid proved yet again what greatness & grace is all about. Still performing but quit from intl cricket. Yet , uncleji is continuing.

Whatever, but Dhoni has lost the credibility to be branded as a great finisher after yesterday's loss. That is why Ravi, Sunil and Siva ran away from the commentary box as soon as CSK lost. hehehehe.

But none can match the desperation of Dhoni to publicly accept that he can bat only on doctored pitches, by asking for doctored pitches. None can stoop to such low level. Hahahahaha

Tell me one century Dhoni has scored overseas. None.
I agree he is one of the best batsman, but only in home conditions.

Hahahaha. I know you don't have the answer. When others are failing in overseas series, Dhoni had ample time to pace his innings. But he has always failed overseas because his style is only suited for home conditions, where bounce is low and no swing.

He is called a great finisher by paid commentators. Tell me one innings overseas where he has scored a decent innings, forget century, where he has finished the game and taken India home from a very bad condition.

but none can match the shamelessness & greed of the plaster even when people half his age are performing. for money he has stooped to such levels that he is not ashamed to share the dressing room with them. hehehe

If Dhoni has the guts, then he should remove Sachin from the squad. Like he did to Sehwag, Zaheer and Bhajji. And most youngsters who are in today's team are chaatus of Dhoni.

the overarted overhyped best batsman on earth. has now satrted questioning the decision of umpires. In delhi test 3 decisions went in his favour when he was clearly out , he did not question it.

what dhoni can do , the so called greatest can never dream to do.

That is because Sachin has always scored well against Aus in Aus, Eng in Eng, SA in SA, unlike MSD who requires doctored pitches for his batting talent to score. Hehehehehe
