No Gambhir. Open with Kohli. Doesnt make a difference if he is playing 1 down or as an opener since early wickets are haunting India.
Play 3 specialist spinners and 2 seamers. Turn the aussies into a web. Cannot think of a T20 side without Yuvraj. Yuvraj is also turning out to be a specialist spinner.

No ZAK and No Gambhir in my side.

1. Virender Sehwag
2. Virat Kohli
3. Yuvraj Singh
4. Rohit Sharma
5. Suresh Raina
6. MS Dhoni
7. R Ashwin
8. Harbhajan
9. Piyush Chawla
10. Balaji
11. Irfan Pathan

Indian team can not afford to make a single mistake now
by Sachin Joshi on Sep 28, 2012 12:22 AM

Everything has to be perfect and they have to prepare for everything, even super over finishes. Lasith Malinga won the match today with brilliant bowling in super over. God knows what our bowlers would have done in such a situation because none of them are capable of bowling in death overs. Team selection, batting order, bowling in death overs are the main issues which Indians need to sort out without a second's delay because they are in such a tough group. One mistake and they will be packing their bags. I think Kohli should open the innings because he is our best batsman and he should get maximum number of overs(especially powerplay overs). Pathan should not open the innings and Raina should come ahead of Rohit because you want best players to face more balls. Every single run is important in T20. The right batting order and team composition in my opinion should be -

Gambhir
Kohli
Raina
Rohit
Yuvraj (he is better than Sehwag)
Dhoni (provides solidity to middle lower but he can come up if India is in good position)
Pathan
Harbhajan
Zaheer
Ashwin
Piyush

We are missing Badri and perhaps Murali at the top level. Its a fact no body can deny it.

If they are Moguls, then send them back to Afghanistan / Paapistaan.

Dhoni is successful in IPL because of these two pillars (Murali and Badrinath) only. Mind it.

Even in last IPL Murali vijay played only in the final. Bhadri is a test player and he cannot go for big hits. They are good player no one can tell deny that. But they dont have the sehwag class.
