Mohinder Amarnath is the best
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Sep 27, 2012 09:11 AM  | Hide replies

Mohinder Amarnath (Bharadwaj) is superior to all of the players mentioned as his competitors. He is a better as a player, coach and strategist than all these men. The BCCI is ridden with politics as it has supported presidents who do not have any experience in international cricket. The organization is nothing but a complete joke.

Syndrome of 'character inconsistency' at authoritative position
by vaibhav kumar on Sep 26, 2012 10:43 PM

Shrikant suffered from the same syndrome of 'character inconsistency' at authoritative position. He made some good selection but of late, he has become a mockery of Srinivasan and started playing appeasing policy due to his wasted interests and to safeguard a cricketing carrer for his son in Chennai super kings.

All those who feel that he has done a good job, should be right to an extent, provided they also know that he with a lot of bias favored some ordinarily inconsistent TN palyers in the team on the expense of some gifted but unfortunate palyers from other zones.

Shrikanth played his part but inconsistently fallen in trap with biggies of BCCI. Pathetic end to an promising start. Not well done, Chikka.

Your people should be indebted to him for giving opportunities to Murli Vijay, Abhinav Mukund. Balaji, Badrinath,Dinesh Karthik, Ashwin. He wanted to give an opportunity to his own son Anirudh also but was hesitant. His departure means doors closed for Tmilnadu players.

$70,000 plus annual salary!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Sep 26, 2012 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

Who wouldn't like to take up the job, with all those travels at the Board expense. It is a cushy job, and lucky are those who will get it. Selectors or Chief Selector should be persons of high aptitudes and who hold high ethical values. Good Luck to all the candidates.

We may have to import players with those qualities. Almost all our former cricketers barring perhaps Kapil Dev are regional minded and will not see beyond their mother state boundaries when players are chosen.

According to my view Chikka is the best and deserves to retain as Chief of Selection Committee. Norms should be for the favorable for Teams Performs. Srikanth is the best Candidature for it. I hope Srikanth will be reconsidered in the Selection Pannel.
Regards,
prasad

Why Chika alone, the whole old selection co0mmittee should be given Bharat Ratna for their'Stupendous'success which culmiated in India losing 8 Test matches in a row.
