Sanjay Manjrekarji if it was Australia then Sachin would have been thrown out long before. Perform or perish is the policy of the game and not your history. If history is the basis then why don't we call all our great players to our team so that we can never be defeated by any team in the world. Though you have an international carrier still your opinion is below the minimum standard.

Yep agreed with you.'History' is to remember and should not fiddle with 'Present'.We cannot help our fate as this 0ld h0ggard will not retire untill his son gets into national Squad

Because he is still very good. Even Dravid and Laxman could have stayed back for a few years and given good performance but probably they gave up under the pressure of some officials.

When people like MMS still continue to stay at around 80s in spite of all shameful performances why shouldn't Sachin continue to play when he is still giving good performance... just because he got clean bowled instead of getting LBW or caught behind?
The career is over....He should atleast retire and give chance to some youngster...I think he has plan to promote his son before his retire...he will no retire till time..

Some year ago Sachin went through same phasse and returned back with bang and played some good innings. This was the time he should have announced his retirement. probably destiny wanted him to retire when he is in prime. Now he lost that opprtunity too.
it is ver unfortunate that even after a career spanned over23 years of intl cricket is trying to representing country is not correct nd not in the inerest of Nation. Its time he should retire and provide talented yougsters waiting from so long.
There is no point is asking Sachin to retire. And he shouldn't. He is not Dravid or Laxman who avoided "Call of Duty".
He should be in the team till his and fellow cricketer's kids comes in, nurture them on the field, wait for Bharat Ratna, pass on the baton and then retire.
Till then he should, in my opinion, play down the order after Dhoni and get the title "great finisher". It will help maintain his present average if not improve it.
As Sachin does not seems to retire anytime soon, ICC should permit India to have an extra player. So that India plays plays with 12 players instead of 11. It is not always the case that how well you are performing even after 20 years in cricket. People need to ponder over the fact that the 11 positions in the national side are priviledged positions and they also bring wealth. A few select should not get years and years of chance to become more and more wealthy. Others should also get chances. In India there is no dearth of talent. Though Sachin is a super batsmen but not without his weakness. For a man who cannot play under pressure situations hogging a national slot for far too long is irrational and selfish.

I concur! First of all, we should not only think about players who have played for ever, but also these useless people like Manjrekar whose "thinking" is coming out of a "devils workshop".
