did anyone notice Ross Taylor using the hindi abusive word starting with B when he caught Gautam in 2nd inn .
upset with Gautam showing bat to umpire for lbw shout and non use of drs , influencing umpire decision or just plainly use it just as GG himself uses the word many times?

It's early days for Pujara. The manner he got out in the Bangalore test was not convincing enough for a no 3 batsman ready to fill in the boots of a Rahul Dravid. Let him play England. We shall find out.

Then you have to tolerate Raina, Rohit, Jadeja and what not. This was an ideal opportunity to place Tiway or Badri in place of Laxman. But, Dhoni knows whats in his mind. Raina may somehow work here but whats guarantee of his technique in SA, Australia and England?

Virat Kohli has proved his mettle in Aus & sub continent conditions, but Pujara is yet to do so.Lets see how he performs in south africa, australia & then decide. It should not be a case of another Raina/Yuvraj/Anshuman Gaikwad etc.

yes but pujara has not yet got the opportunity which all others less talented but more influential cktrs like rohit, jadeja, etc. were given.
n pujara has performed well n grabbed those opportunities in those few chances he got, just like kohli prosperred in given chances.
pujara has erformed even in ausi n eng conditions when he toured in A teams.

also to persist with n look at manoj tiwari.

Let them play in foreign pitches and win matches then we can say Kohli & Pujara can fill the void of Laxman & Dravid.

Win place in Indian Team. Why Begging?

See some people want sachin to retire stating that he is blocking another youngster's place. One cannot understand why there is so much fuss for youngsters' place at the cost of
sachin who had only performed as good as any other player. 1).Do they want the youngsters' to be given chance at somebody's courtesy? 2). Do they mean that the youngsters cannot win their chance with their ability and push the seniors out of the team? 3).Would you people go on to say that many persons including your fathers aged around 50 to 55 who are still working are blocking youngsters' way? If so, then call for their retirements before calling for sachin's.

And then the same old blabber that sachin plays for records only and would not perform when in need. I would like to bring to their notice that how many of the following great players acheivements resulted in their respective teams' victories.

BRAIN LARA - 12000 TEST RUNS - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN VICTORIES?

HADLEE - 420 ODD WICKETS - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN VICTORIES?

KAPILDEV - 434 WICKETS - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN VICTORIES?

MURALIDHARAN - MORE THAN 800 WICKETS - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN OVERSEAS VICTORIES? (IN SRILANKA ONLY HE WON MATCHES)

ANIL KUMBLE - 600 WICKETS - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN VICTORIES?

RAHUL DRAVID - HOW MANY OF THEM RESULTED IN OVERSEAS VICTORIES? (EXCEPT ONE IN ADELIDE THAT TOO INDIA

Lets decipher each issue logically

a) Dont compare a life of a sportsman with other professional occupations. A sportsman life at best is between 10 -15 yrs. What a successful sportsman can do in this span, some of us cant achieve in 30-35 yrs of work as well.

b)More than the reputation alone, its a game of performance. Bottom line is performance and thats been disappointing with Sachin for last 12-13 tests.
Cant remember seeing him go through a patch of 20 odd innings without a 100 and an average in early 30s.

This is a combination of age & slowing reflexes more than technique. No one is doubting the greatness of the man but you need to know when to allow others to become great. Ur personal interest cannot be over and above the team s interest.

As for some of the stats that you have put up, let me tell these were guys who played large part of their careers for a weak time like Haddle, Lara & Murali to an extent. An individual alone doesnt win a team game.

As for Kapil & Dravid, they have won more matches than your claims.

Dravid - Adeliade, Headingely, Rawalpindi to name a few plus match saving essays in some cases

Kapil won you melbourne with a 8 wkt haul plus other memorable performances in England & NZ. Plus he had a natural advantage of being an allrounder.

Now is the time to allow the youngsters to go up a level and strive to reach greatness and capitalise on the hardwork done by Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Kumble and Ganguly ovee
