It is sad, the way he was cornered from International Cricket after the Chappell Dispute. He only lost Form due to gap in playing Cricket since 2003. The great thing about Ganguly was he never lost faith in his players inspite of bad performances. (Not a Ganguly Fan)

Less Fans??? Just get a view of senior Pro in Indian Team - Zaheer, Yuvraj, Sehwag, Bhajji.. all have more respect & gratitude towards Ganguly than any other captain
Indirectly you have acknowledged Ganguly is extremely talented .whatever the antics of McEnroe he was amazingly talented player so too Ganguly - at his best he is thousand times better thean the great Sachin.

We don't need to compare players like this as each of them have their strength areas and contributed in their own way to Indian cricket. I felt both of them played a bit too long to draw such criticisms else they both are ICONIC players in their own right ( I wish sachin quits sooner than later)
