better play than speak
by bhaskar on Oct 30, 2012 10:16 AM

I am sure raina cannot ignore himself while playing . So showpiece is better and glitter than silver and gold.

Fletcher is the cause!!!
by Sudarsan on Oct 29, 2012 10:19 PM

The team environment is important in their success, and the coach and his support staff play a major role in setting up that environment. Fletcher has been a massive failure in that dept, whereas Kirsten and Wright were big successes. They were proactive and at the same time let the players be. Fletcher is neither. In comparison, Lalchand Rajput who was our coach when we won that T20 World Cup would be a better option to be our coach. Or get someone like Kumble or Ganguly as our team's coach. Kumble would be very good. He is a sharp brain, and knows most of our players well enough too and commands lot of respect due to his stature as a legend. Fletcher has 5-6 more months remaining. Hope he exists only till then, and is booted out when his contract ends.

DEAR Dinesh check ur facts before commenting. except those 8 test match losses india have won or drawn all their tours under sourav ganguly and ms dhoni captaincy which enabled them to become no.1 in test cricket.come this season this same english team which was more recently no.1- let them just win even one test match in india to prove themselves. INDIA WILL EITHER WIN 2-0 OR 3-0 IF NOT A WHITEWASH.

Mr Sharanu. Why do u provoke everyone by making such comments. What on earth has Dinesh Karthick done to deserve a Test chance. Wridhiman Saha is the next choice after Dhoni for Tests. Pujara is the Future of Indian Cricket. Badri can replace Raina or Mr 100th 100 when he retires ( not sure if that will ever happen )

Raina aur Dhoni ki dosti
by Anjana Shikari on Oct 29, 2012 05:52 PM  | Hide replies

Raina can never be a good test player. He has been given enough chances and he has not cemented his place yet!

Dhoni must have told me to score somehow in this practice match and then his position is pucca for all the four test matches ...and that's what Raina seems to be reiterating ..."If I score well here then I will play all the four tests ..."

Idiot ..hope he fails ...shoots off his mouth far too often

100% correct.
He is certain that if he scores some 40 odd in practice he will be safe for 4 tests.
Without MSD backing him he would not be sure.
Raina a useless Test player.
And what is the revenge?
Eng beat India fair and square in 2011.
They did not cheat india.did they?
If you play well you will get closer and better in overseas conditions

I will not be surprised if Dhoni drops Ashwin Umesh and brings his yaar's Bhajji and RP Singh. Also he might drop Irfan from ODI's and bring in his beta Sir Ravindra Jadeja

OK Rainaji
by Pratham on Oct 29, 2012 05:06 PM  | Hide replies

Thanks for expressing the spirit.
now to help the cause, please do not play tests. i hope enough of favours have been bewstowed upon yourself. perhaps, the prize for being CSK team member.
also, advise Sehwag and gambhir to make way for the other deserving ones. it doesnt matter if their replacements fail, as gautam sehwag are already a proven failure so it cant be more worse. i think anyone will play better than these two guys.

team is not united
by veerapuram dharan on Oct 29, 2012 05:05 PM

raina might hope for more pain this time as well..the reason for our whitewash was because of team disunity..and looks like this virus is still not contained..and england and aus could very well exploit this virus to whip us 8-0 in our home conditions as well..
