Oh, Cry me a river Mr. Vaughan! Every team does what is necessary to maximize its chances of success. There is truly no better sign that the English have arrived in our backyard than when the whining starts. I hope someone keeps count of the #of whinges & excuses put forth by this English team between now and the end of the tour. Anyways, if anything, this latest instance of whining highlights the unease being felt in the England camp around India’s spin strength especially considering how they floundered against the same in one of the group matches of the recently concluded the World T20.
What if India A bats for all three days after chosing to bat first but includes 3 spinners in the team.....English players are known for their fear against spin for so many decades and does a single match and that too a three day game without a spinner is going to change their fortune...crap...

True, chances are that it won't. But if so then what is Sandip Patil worried about? Why no spinner? After all not having a spinner in a team playing in India is highly unusual. This is what Vaughan is asking and I think he has a right to be upset.
A selector should not include any player from his state. How dare Srikanth include idly sambar Ashwin? Same way, I am extending this definition to West Zone, now Sandip Patil is selector, so no player from Maharashtra should be included, so hopefully this forces Sachin to retire. Then we can sack Sandip Patil and make Amarnath the selector, then Viru and Gauti are out. Soon, we can stop playing cricket, once all 5 zones have had chief selector.
Michael Vaughan is quite right in what he says. This is not good from Sandip Patil. I wonder where are all the people who had nothing nice to say about Srikanth. Also, I hope the team has not a single player from Maharashtra, otherwise many people will accuse him of being regionalistic...

Really Well said. In fact giles was bowling outside legstump line and Sachin was stumped for the first time.
Vaughan is mistaken , there are Irfan Pathan and Vinay Kumar - 2 good spinners in the team, perhaps coz they run in and bowl he mistook them for pace bowlers
