Order of Australia to Sachin
by Varma on Oct 19, 2012 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

It is up to the Australians to decide what is the reward they want to give Tendulkar or any other Indian. The most important issue is that Australia and India are building relations which should be important to both countries. Say Win-Win relations.

As name suggests Bharat Ratna is for only Bhartiya. There are few Indian awards also available to give foreigners.

Importantly, Order of Australia is not made of only Australians. There are quiet a few foreigners who already received it.

The most important point I would like to tell you that there are so many targets bradman have not achieved what Indian legend has achieved it.

That is the reason why so many legends like Lara, Kallis, Loyd and few more rate Sachin all time great. They actually put Mr. Sachin ahead of Bradman.

But, we Indian still have sslavery mind and we can not believe Sachin is the best among all time great.

Sachin has served India for so long and with great dedication. But a senior player gets criticism just because he can never be allowed to go out of form. As soon as a senior player is out of form, everyone starts criticizing him. Indians as always spit on their countrymen only. It is just a couple of years ago that Sachin made a double century in ODIs. It is just one year ago that Sachin made the maximum runs in World Cup 2011 after Dilshan. And when he gets out of form, everyone starts blaming him for his seniority. There is a wrong notion that is circulating around that Sachin should give chance to youngsters. He doesnt play T-20s anymore. So the youngsters who these days just love T-20s can play as much as they want. Sachin hardly plays ODIs. So any youngster can play. As far as Test matches are concerned, the youngsters are not interested in Tests anymore. Moreover there is no "Indian" player who can replace him in Test matches.Even the so called greats Dhoni, Sehwag,Gambhir, Raina, Kohli, Pujara have been bigger failures in Test matches. Those who criticize Sachin in the name of sports and nation fail to understand the fact that every record that Sachin makes is registered in the name of an Indian. Thats the most important thing. The records that are created will always go in the name of an Indian. Cricketing greats across the globe have accepted his mettle. But Indians once again have proved that they themselves are the greatest critics of their own heroes.

WE THE INDIANS ARE ALSO EQUALLY SURPRISED WITH THE DECISION .
by subrata banerjee on Oct 17, 2012 04:08 PM  | Hide replies

Australia has given birth of countless great batsmen, bowlers, fielders, wicket keepers, captains and finally all rounders. While India's list of great players will be too short in comparison with Australians.
In fact, what Sachin has done exceptional? Ya, he scored 100 international centuries which has become world record. I do agree, but can not support Australian PM's decision to award of order to Sachin. The main question is "how many matches and years it took to achieve this record"? Can Australia think to afford such luxary to allow senior player to continue to play in spite of his many poor patches for last 3/4 years? I hope, Mr. Rob Oakshot, MP of australian parliament has rightly pointed out his grievances 'against PM's decision.

Though I have my reservations in Sachin's continuing to play after the WC and especially after the Eng/Aug tour, but kindly do not question his abilities as a batsmen. Forget about stats, just remember the number of times we have enjoyed him batting. We have not played at the highest level to make a comment but Listen to what his adverseries have to say such as Mcgrath, Lara, Wasim, Ponting have to say. Or do you think the "rich" man has bribed them also

Sachin has so much money that he can buy anything from umpires, awards, rajaya sabha seat, farrari, and what not. do not know why he is not retiring to pave way for other youngesters.

Few Questions for you
1.Sachin has never been a liability for Team India. Why should sachin retire?

2.India never managed to reached semis of t20 world on 3 occasions(better say 1st round) without him. Why should sachin retire?

3.Several young Under performers in the team (raina, rohit, sehwag). Why should sachin retire?
