Sachin didn't play seriously in one phase of his career else his records would have been beyond reach and Ponting too would have retired long back seeing the unreachable record.

Mr Jaiho... Sachin started playing at the age of 16.. wheras Pointing came at the age of 23.. imagine pointing coming at the age of 18 only... All records would have been of Pointing now.. Also during pointing time.. they won too many test with one inings to spare.. so he must out also there..

So is it Sachin's fault that he started playing at 16. Learn to love and respect your heroes , we lack them in India.

Mr. Bruno, i agree with what you say abt ponting. But Sachin is not meant to play like Ponting. Sachin' s perfection in game is recognised even by Ponting.
We at the ICC wish to announce that Sachin Tendulkar is a highly overrated player. He was once a good player, but now hanging on trying to create only records. We also believe that the Indian team is losing matches because of Sachin's presence in the team. Sachin has lost the respect of other players around the world. In fact, all the other players only praise Sachin in front of the cameras and in interviews. In reality they laugh and make fun of him. They joke that if Sachin played for their countries, he would have been dropped long back. We at the ICC would like to convey that it has been a difficult decision to reveal our thoughts on Sachin, but in the interests of the game we decided that everyone should know the truth. We also would like to apologize to the millions of diehard Sachin fans who believe that he is the world's best player. We hope that atleast now they accept reality.

No cricketer will ever laugh at him. He still looks good at the crease though he may not be able to score like before.

I am sorry, but we at the ICC know for certain that Sachin is ridiculed often by his peers. Ofcourse, there was respect earlier. But it is a different matter now.

He is a great player and what really stumps me is that he claims that he never played for records that is rubbish.Kapil destroyed Srinath's career by palying longer for his record.This man despite achieving the milestone still hangs in there-not fair by any strech of imagination

This man seems to be a secret reporter. He is reporting what players don't even think of. Dude wake up. Score 101 international centuries, terrorize the best of the bowlers, play under immense pressure from ever expecting Indian fans, score 35,000 runs in International cricket and then speak. By the way improve your English. It is not 'for their countries', it is 'for their country'. A player can represent only one country at one point of time. Way to go before you speak bad about somebody.

Anand , people commenting here are typical of the Indian mindset. Look at Pakistan and how they adore Afridi even though he has done nothing noteworthy in the last 2-3 years but the love and respect for him remains undiminished. People commenting here would be hardpressed to face an over by even Joginder Sharma. Talk of players laughing is akin to saying that footballers laugh at Ryan Giggs, the reflexes may have slowed but a great man remains great.
