Kevin also played against Boris Becker in 1985 Wimbledon final. On the course he defeated legend like Stephen Edberg, John Mcnroe, Jimmy Conners.

What a great personality to play at the highest level in two world sports.

May the sole rest in peace.

Kevin Curran was overshadowed by Kapil in the historic 83 WC matc

Kevin Curran is ever remembered for his great allround effort against India in the famous World cup match of 1983.He bagged 3 wickets during the initial indian collapse and later scores 73 runs in the chase. But all his efforts went vein in that spectacular Kapil magic.(Actually that win for India made all the difference and became an energy booster in eventually lifting the world cup.

sadly missing the recordings of this match as it is not available. Have only memories of a comentory on radio when we almost gave up the hope in the morning itself for recovering from dismal 17 per 5, forget about winning but we had KAPIL DEV - THE TRUE ALL ROUNDER.

In my personal opinion that 173 by Kapil Dev is the best innings ever played in 50 overs matches, even though someone has scored more runs...Kapil was a real great player...
