Saying for the outside world is ok, but does Mahela really believe that Gayle is just another player ? Fact of the matter is the 'big' man has adjusted very well to the local conditions and if SL fails to get him early it is curtains for the 4th time for them for sure. Further, Gayle doesn’t play like Sehwag, 'bang-bang' with eyes wide shut. He takes a good measure of the ‘conditions’ judging the initial delivery carefully and then changes the gear. Of course it takes just one ball to get out and if only SL gets that lucky break half the job is done. So far the tournament has gone as per 'script' with the 'classy' Home side ,SL to clash with a power packed 'bratty' WI in the last chapter. The general conjecture is the Home side is going to make it at last on the fourth attempt for the Home crowd. It would be interesting to see if there is indeed going to be a ‘deviation’ in the script towards the end with ‘Gayle-storm’ blowing it away for the SLans.. Weather is also a factor. So, is it going to be a Gayle-storm or ‘Thunderstom’ ? Coming to team India it is ironical that a country of IPL should be crashing out for third consecutive time before the semis! Enough is enough. It is Time to field a young T20 side built around Virat Kohli .
'its our CUP' says Chris Gayle the challenge is just like playing WWF, he may succeed and become real HERO, not like our dhoni who looking for other team to loose and qualify for SEMI final or seeking mercy of other team.
It was not Chris Gayle who mattered most yesterday. It was the players around him who mattered most while Gayle played through the 20 overs .Yet Jayawardene plays down his factor. OK go ahead Jayawardene and discount him. It just suits Gayle to be left alone to play his game.Go Sammy &co. Go get it.
