Sachin's Retirement
by krishnamurthy sridhar on Oct 06, 2012 06:57 PM  | Hide replies

The debate goes on and on....... yet he would never think about retirement. So long as people like Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Sastri are around he would get boosted up further. He can afford to score another 25 ducks before retiring and still these commentarors would only describe how beautifully he had batted for scoring "0" runs!!!! This is Indian Cricket

Do u want top know why ex-cricketers turned commentators like Gavaskar, Shastri, Ganguly et al won't write what they feel and support Sachin, because all these gentlemen are paid huge sums to praise/support Sachin. Had Sachin being in Australian their selectors would have sent him packing long back.

Tendulker the great
by great maratha on Oct 06, 2012 03:57 PM  | Hide replies

When he started playing at the age of 16 nobody felt he was too young to play against likes of Akram and waqar.Had he failed then what would have been his future because he had left his studies for the game.
When he forgot the loss of his father and played the 99 world cup nobody said he should be by the side of his mother.
But since 2007 when he was just 34 everybody wanted him to retire because he had earned so much fame and money that everybody was envious of him
He should be allowed to take his own decision because batsmen like tendulkar are not born every day.

$tupid statement. dont play emotional game. everyone loose their father at some point in time. nothing exceptional in tendulkar case. so many people loose their father at their tender age, with no financial support. they still work hard to come up. this is non-sense. this has nothing todo with the rest of ur statements.

Man learn to live in the present and forget the past for it serves no purpose, harking time and again about Sachin's earlier days.

by vinay on Oct 06, 2012 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

icc world cup is fixed before start of tti wc.
i hv been telling before the start of wc 2012 that this time, there vl b new winner of tti wc. no previous winner ind, pak or eng wud win the tourney. as there is rotation policy, new winner wud b from wi, lanka or ausi. its just icc policy to keep every members n their fans happy.
n the same thing happened. now all three teams left to win the tourney havent won the trophy in the past.

so enjoy the icc ckt tourney.

For heaven's sake, quit please! It's pathetic to see u struggling against ageing with diminished vision, reflexes, coordination, etc., etc., Accept the grave reality and pleeeeeeeease quit and give opportunity for an youngster to take over the reins. Do not imagine on your own that, India needs you and the whole batting responsibility lies on your (ageing) shoulders. It's not true! Of late, you only have become a liability to the team than of any value. This has been hinted to you enough already by the team management in umpteen number of ways. Do not be insensitive all such hints and stretch your fading career any further. It'll only do more damage than any good. Your averages will no more look respectable if you play any further. Quit gracefully please! We'll worship you. Else, a day is not far off when the same cricket fans who cheered you on coming in to bat, boo you and please save your fading image.

Evening time of career.....
by Jaiho on Oct 06, 2012 01:08 PM  | Hide replies

Had Sachin retired at his peak, a few years ago, many diehard fans would have committed suicide. Good he has tapered to 'evening time' of his career.

How many heartless, cheap, hatred, thoughtless comments., (sorry instead of comments "dog barks" would be a better choice of word). "he should thrown out" "dropped immdly" etc. etc. I feel extremely sorry for Tendulkar who serves for Indian cricket all these years. These kindof disrespective comments as posted by many is the "LEAST" he deserves. Tendulkar bashing has become a trend..
