great performance

Awesome performance by India. Dhoni rocks. His "youngistan" rocks. What performance. Keep it up. Oh yes even Sachin did not play in this series. So just look what happened to our youngistan. They lifted the World Cup yet again. Good going.

It was a 15 over game
by priyankush ghosh on Oct 03, 2012 12:15 AM

When india got to field knowing that they were defending only 121 ; they needed to treat this game like a 15 over game where they needed to bundle out south africa within 121.The 15 overs needed to be bowled by 4 proper bowlers as simple as that ..i dont understand how a pace bowler gets a chance in an international team just because he bowls good slower balls and bowls well with old ball..its unimaginiable 2 be honest that balaji is not enjoying the confidence of his captain 2 bowl with the new ball first change after zaheer and irfan pathan and instead captain has more trust on part timers yuvraj and rohit in a must win game that had only 121 to be defended..incredible really ..If somebody is njoying such low confidence of his captain how come he comes in the team .. then balaji should have been replaced by harbhajan singh ..then india would have better wicket taking bowling options than they had today,...we must remember that yuvraj and kohli and rohit part timers may be of some use in full 20 over match but in just 15 over match where u need to bowl out opponents .. MSD\'s handling of bowling resources 2 day was total watse of strategy

Aussies must be banned for underplaying not going for victory
by caeser b on Oct 03, 2012 12:13 AM  | Hide replies

They intentionally played slow when they would have had easily qualified as they had wickets in hand.......
Do u call this cricket??? For me its intentional underplaying only for the sake of qualifying....
Would u watch a match if one team never wants to win even if they can or they can try to win yet not trying to???

Nothing like that. Even after Australia defeat we had golden chance. Pakistan only scored 128 and we should have scored 129 in 14 or 15 overs. Coach and team should have strategised that as our NRR was already very low after Australia match and everybody knew NRR will decide. With 128 we will never loose hence why not win early

select better performers than ipl's 3rd rate quality players.

gv importance to recent challenger trophy performers. good performances by openers vijay, dhawan, rahane, middle order pujara, wktkeeper saha.

drop dhoni arrogant as capt. dump ipl player rohit, include tiwari in the team.

Dhoni did the right thing in dropping Sehwag against Australia. Sehwag didn't do anything in the whole tournament other than putting India in trouble right from the start.
