correct!in fact all matches are planned accodingly to get maximum revenue for media,ticket and tourism.just look at the combinations Sri lanka are put to be in final or semi atleast and PAK,IND for max commercial interest....

The day on which india lost against Australia commentators on radio was discussing the termination of indian coach chapel with loss of icc coz chapel was according to india reason for their early out from icc wc. So icc don't want to see this loss agin and india will survive till the final.
