Sachin is just proving that he is a slave at the hands of his sponsors , who have spent hundreds of crores on long term deals with him. If Sachin retires the losers will be those sponsors and winner will be the nation as younger talent gets a chance.
Sachin was honored by Indian Air Force, He failed to turn up on Air Force Day Parade. He was nominated to Rajya Sabha, He fails to attend important debates and votes in Rajya Sabha. When his name was proposed by the sponsors for BAharat Ratna, his tongue was waggling with greed forgetting likes like Ranjit Sinhji or others came before Sachin. All that matters to him is money, no self respect and no pride for nation.

Yes perhaps you are right! You have looked at the extreme end of the arguement. The negative end. It is gud to look at both ways.
no mr kumble, we are not suggesting sachin alone is responsible for india's poor performance. but we do think he deserves blame, and not blind adulation and silly reasons to continue to support him, like the ones you have given.

Rightly said, These so called ex-cricketers dont dare to openly criticize tendulkar. Always a question mark will remain on them to. The difference between tendulkar and other players is while other players are given chances so that they can come back to form but tendulkar is being given chances until he comes back to form.
right, another one in the long list of former players and fans who extrapolate sachin's past achievements to determine his greatness/value to the side. Ponting never had it this easy in the australian team.
It was my secret desire for the past 2/3 yrs that Sachin be not only the 1st person in intl cricket to complete a silver jubilee but also remain the only person to do so in my life time. Now that Sachin has completed 23 yrs of cricket, hasn't called it quits yet & is still practicing 4 hrs a day, maybe he secretly feels the same way too. Buck up Sachin, you owe this glory to us, Indians. All the best.
how many people here in India if only one person is playing for 23 yrs when next generation is going to get chance to play for India true spirit of game is make way for youngesters not block way for future youngesters.
Even a someone of a stature of Kumble is defending incompetence.. Sachin was great and no doubt about that but he is way past his prime.
He is all about his personal statistics and benefits now. The entire world show his 100th century that was so slow that India lost that crucial ODI against Bangladesh in the Asia cup. And that defeat costed India the Asia cup.
The whole nation was shocked but Sachin was so happy and celbrating his 100th century with handful of cheap media without slightest remorse for letting his nation down for a personal achievement.

One wrong doesn't make other right. Can we stop using such comparisons and instead focus on the merits on its own.
