What Sachin has done for country in the past is irrelevant. What has he done lately besides getting bowled regularly by trundlers? Mr. Bedi, you yourself had an ignominious exit from international cricket after being hammered by Imran Khan. Do you want such a fate for SRT? Let him quit with his glorious legacy intact. We shouldn't let it get to point where he loses the love and respect of his fans. Therefore, as lovers of Indian cricket and SRT have all the right to ask SRT to consider that it is time to hang up his boots and not further humiliate himself.

Past & present champions as well as his peers have total confidence in Sachin’s ability to bounce back as well as in his ability to decide when to retire. After almost a quarter century of bearing the weight of a nation’s expectations almost singularly on his shoulders you ask what Sachin has done ‘lately’? He has delivered for us over more than two decades and yet some folks cannot tolerate a lean patch stretching about a year (covering two test series)? If anyone has earned that extra bit of patience from his fans it is Him. It is so true when they say that it is easy to cheer on a winner but so much more difficult to support a hero who is presently experiencing difficulties. Such a shame.
If "Sachin" is "Playing" for his "Family" ...then nobody has "Right" to ask for "Retirement". Since "Sachin" is "Playing" for "Nation"...every "Citizen" has "Right" to "question" his "Place" in the "Team"!! The point here is "Sachin" is only playing for "Records"...that Every "Commentators/Ex-Cricketers knows about it. When Sachin made his debut,there were no youngsters with such rare talent to match him and Sachin had no difficulty to enter. But today it is different.Many young,talented players are waiting at the wings.Chand,Tiwari,Abhi Mukund to quote a few.Without any contribution, no player,even if he is a legent,should be allowed to go for ever.
