Over this issue! Does it make any sense? He is no more the player that deserved automatic selection. Like the emperor has no clothes story, a child will wonder why is he in the team without any contribution!

Bedi is making a foolish statement in saying who are we to ask Sachin to retire? Is Sachin bigger than Cricket? Lot of leaway has been given to Sachin so far.He himself should realise whether he is contibuting to the team.Let him decide quickly how long he wants to play and whether we should have him in the team even if doesn't perform.We all feel sorry of him.But he has brought about this position on himself.One must not be selfish and think that the team and country are bigger than an individual.Blind hero worship should stop.

Absolutely correct! Selection criteria of players should strictly be based on their current performance & not what it was 10 yrs ago !
I feel Sachin should retire after all he is also a human being playing cricket for 23 yrs and now at age of 40yrs cannot expect him to be what he was 10 yrs back so let him retire with grace

I remember Bedi's wrath against people saying "Those who dont have the rights to even tie shoelaces of Laxman/Dravid are speaking about them". So, Bedi never supported their ouster :)
