Shame that indian media and some vested interests are doing the sachin-bashing for helping some vested interests! Shame Indians are so good in pulling down their own heroes and legends and a player like Sachin comes only once in 500 years, perhaps???Get some reality checks, folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting or Bradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie pace attack and they had the added luxury of facing indian bowlers and score centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting and Others!

Sachin got money 'coz he's born in India.. Had the other greats born in India they would have been as rich as him.. as simple as that.

Well Played
by Ajeet Singh on Nov 29, 2012 05:14 PM

Ricky Ponting has once again set another example for many in the world. Very time timed departure form the game that made his popular. He knew that his performance was not of the standards that were set by himself so before others asking for his departure, he called it a day.

The entire world knows he is a class player and a very shrewd captain. We will miss his presence but then also we respect his decision.

Well played Ricky. Wish you all the very best for rest of your future.

AS A CAPTAIN TENDULKAR IS NOT GREAT ALSO NO LEADERSHIP
by pooja vinayak on Nov 29, 2012 03:32 PM

As captain, Tendulkar was not the greatest and could not inspire India to victory, when he has good leadership skills. Whereas Ponting led a team of individuals having huge stardom and ego, making them follow his command. He learnt from his predecessor Steve Waugh and with this kind of team, he won 2 World Cups in 2003 and 2007, being undefeated for 34 matches in the competition on the trot. He also has won most number of Tests by an Australian captain ever. Perhaps Tendulkar must not have won those many Tests even as a player for India

not at all best prepared player one of good players who played 4 a side which was too strong b'coz of mcgrath & warne. without them he lost 2 ashes, world cup everything remember in 2005 also when he lost ashes mcgrath was not in side 4 2 tests which they lost. a cheater always who had given word for ganguly out in sydney test knowing very well that clark had taken catch from ground a good player as well as gr8 cheater.
