DOES DHONI HAVE THE TEST MINDSET MOLD ?
by damodaran mohan on Nov 30, 2012 04:43 PM  | Hide replies

Recall the post 1-0 Motera scenario !Captain cool is on a high…."I don't want to see Motera wicket.....want a ‘rank turner’ … must take turn from the very first ball…or day ?…will finish the match in 3 and half days..." ….a confident Dhoni to the press.MCA gives him a ‘rank turner’ alright . He picks three spinners also for sure including his terribly out of form close pal Bhajji. Next he wins the Toss also ! Unfortunately it seems BCCI stopped at that. So, Dhoni and his 11 men had to go all out and play a good game of cricket on conditions provided exactly as asked for by them in the 22 yards strip to beat the English and make it 2-0 in 3 and half days !The match did end in 3 and half days alright but it was Captain Cook and not Dhoni who ended it. Given his gambling nature, to be fair to Dhoni, he cannot be faulted entirely for his complacency after the Motera win. His Gambling instinct went wrong on three counts. First, but for Cook and KP there was very little to chose between the two side when it came to batting. So he was almost right in the 1st gamble. 2nd, that Monty Panesar fellow spoiled all his calculations. He could have never imagined ! 3rd ,his own spinners especially Ashwin and his close pal Bhajji let him down . Again unexpected as they were nowhere near the English counterparts. Still Dhoni wants rank turners , whatever that means !Moral of the story ? TEST cricket are to be pla

(contd. from above..)..TEST cricket are to be played like TEST cricket with proper skill, planning, strategies, endurance and so on with least element of gambling involved. First and foremost either Dhoni gets out of T20 or One day mindset of gambling mold or gets himself out of TESTs.

Dude, I have seen him for an year or so. He is a good guy and does not indulge in this sort of behaviour. There are some "noble" guys who fake hisID and write such stuff. Infact, he does not use bad language unless someone does it to him.

you are the one who is providing them with the loot. i believe you would be the very first person in the line to get a ticket for every match.

Dhoni has a point
by cc man on Nov 28, 2012 11:56 PM  | Hide replies

I think Dhoni demands and thinking is right with respect to have rank turner from day 1. His reasons are as follows
1.Eliminate the toss factor
2.Making it a challenging match and let the team who plays well wins and thereby provide cricketers to prove themselves on where they stand to respect to abilities.
3.Entertain audience or spectators.

I vote for Dhoni
