Why Criticize only Sachin?
by siva kumar on Nov 28, 2012 07:56 AM

If all players perform well and only Sachin is not able to bat well you can attribute the reason to his AGE.
But in fact players from Gambhir, viru, Kohli, Yuvraj , Dhoni have not performed better than Sachin -then Why single out only Sachin for cricism?
If Sachin is not performing well due to his why young players are not performing? What is Dhoni's record as a batsman ? Though I am not a fan or supporter of Sachin logic urges me to ask this question.

The highest priority is to build a proper Test team for the futur
by Nikhil Shah on Nov 28, 2012 06:27 AM

Though Sachin's retirement is blocking out the future young batsmen, there were a couple of spots in the Test team that also needs review.

The presence of Kohli, Yuvraj and Raina in the squad of 15 needs to be questioned. Rahane can take a top order spot and have Sehwag bat in the middle order whenever Sachin retires. So Sachin's presence does not affect the team as much as Yuvraj, Kohli and Raina.

The 2 domestic heavy weights who are unlucky and missing out are Tiwari and Rohit Sharma. Both have averages above 55 and along with Rahane are the future of Indian cricket.

The future line up should look like:

Gambhir Sehwag Rahane Pujara Tiwari Sharma & WK

In the presence of Sachin, India's top order is not affected. The problem is with Yuvraj and Kohli. Both look like they belong in the ODIS and T20s because the skills to defend and survive in Tests are much more demanding.

With the failures of Kohli and Yuvraj the pressure fell on Sachin and others. The selectors and Dhoni need to fix this problem.

On the other hand Dhoni's strategy of asking for rank turner was a mistake so why blame that on Sachin ?

Anyway, India's future bowling attack should have been settled by now, Varun Aaron the quickest of the bowlers and Monish Parmar a genuine off spinner in the mold of Murali have been excluded in addition to the genuine leg break of Amit Mishra.

This is something the selectors screwed up along with the picking of the final eleven. Let us not blame it on Sachin

Sachin cant reach Kallis in terms of batting average by the time
by cc man on Nov 28, 2012 05:02 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin cant reach Kallis batting average by the time he retires unless he plays consistently big innings by the time he retires.

Also, unless he plays big innings by the time he retires, kallis will break all his records in Test cricket. And people will always regard Kallis as better player than Sachin.

sachin is a gifted cricketer who was praised by DON.
Now he lacks commitment like Kallis due to the pressure inside & outside by Dhobi,Selectors & inept batting by his colleagues like Yuvi,Kohli,Gambhir,Shewag& Dhoni the main culprit.
Why no media or commentator is writing about the batting failure of Dhoni ?
Does they greased their palms by Dhoni's money ?

Kapil is right on Dhoni
by Mature Stud on Nov 28, 2012 03:31 AM  | Hide replies

SO we have Gavaskar, Ganguly, Amarnath and now Kapil Dev questioning Dhoni's place in test team.

Why do we still have Dhoni in the test team? He already brought #1 team down in flying colors and still doing his best to bring enough embarrassment for his cricket loving country..

He doesn't brought India to no 1 state, the hard work done by the famed five brought it.
Why not he resighned when he loses two white washes, one day serires loss & Asia cup failure.
He will get money from Advertisement till he is inTeam & the corporates blackmails BCCI to keep him.

Dhoni ruined the #1 team. He had an opportunity to rebuild the team with seniors retiring but ruined it by filling it up with his personal favorites instead going by performance and skill set..

Within Just 4 Tests from Dravid's and Laxman's Farewell, India ta
by stockstalks on Nov 28, 2012 03:13 AM  | Hide replies

Within Just 4 Tests from Dravid's and Laxman's Farewell, India tasted the Worst ever Defeat in last 10 Years in her own Den. Now We want sachin to Retire. The Next Defeat will ring the bell for Sehwag, Gambhir and Dhoni. We will only come to know the value of an organ, when we loose that.

Even though If anybody asks me about the opinion of Sachin's Retirement Saga (ongoing), My Opinion should be sachin should Retire from ODIs after India - Pak ODI Series. And also should take rest for 1 year from International Cricket (Tests) after this series and should play the Remaining Ranji Matches of this season . This will help to decrease the media attention from him and that will help him to concentrate on his Game and find his form. Within that time, the so called Head Hunters can Test Youngsters and if they managed to draw all the Series which played in India and avoided innings defeats in abroad (leave defeats after fighting), Sachin should play a farewell Series and Retire Gracefully. But if the youngsters failed to impress, sachin should be called back (if he were successful in Ranji Matches).

You got a very good point. And that's exactly what many other suggesting here that team selection is just wrong. People like Yuvraj and Raina are not meant for Test cricket. Everyone who actuely follows cricket, knows that Yuvraj has big problem playing spin then why is he in the team when Captain himself asking for spinning pitches?

We need Dravidisc kind of players, like Pujara and not ODI and T20 sloggers

But Captain selects whomever he wants so oh well...few more defeats are coming very soon..

kapil and sunil patience is out
by Govind chil on Nov 28, 2012 02:52 AM  | Hide replies

these two guys are out of patience. sachin set so high standard that everyone looks at him to save every game. what are others doing. test cap is earned. why cant more yougsters like pujara and kohli come and replace him. they cant coz there isnt any. yuvraj after 100 test not sure proved much in test. just comes back on indian wickets to score runs. sehwag is match winner. has won matches. so indian current team just had a bad test. we will bounce back. our bowling is weak. why nobody wants to bowl here. bowling is the difference between the two sides. if we bowled them out cheaply would have been different story.

during his last many years, perhaps last 20 tests and he left after causing severe damage to Indian cricket and fans just to get those last 20-30 wickets, to teach is easiest job.

But even in the weakened state during the end of his career, Kapil is still by far the best fast bowler India had ever produced. There is no question about that.

It means nobody want to play for cricket ? I can say , Our indian team want to terminate the sachin from ODI & TEST ... For an example , Ricky ponting - He did 2 worldcup and he also made automatic record for cricket and he is not played purpose of a cricket like sachin..... People want to understand to give opportunity to youngsters ....
