He is doing what his seniors have done. Kapil Dev overplayed for 10 years.

but at somepoint or other they were dropped for lack of form--vengsarkar dropped dravid and said he has to prove himself in ranji!!! now where are all those useless experts?

There was no alternative then for Kapil Dev. Today there are of lot of players who can take place of Sachin.

Because of Kapil,Srinath's entry into test cricket was delayed as Kapil wanted to retire after breaking Hadlee's record. He Kapil got his 400th wicket in 1990 and then almost took 4 years to get 32 wkts.He was a big liability to the team, but he was persisted.Except for Gavaskar, none of the so called Indian greats retired gracefully ,when they were still good.

hello kapildev was not overplayed for 10 years, rather than that he was the only reliable bowler fit & fine at that time.

Not true.
Many bowlers played with him in that period, and all of them were more successful than him: Manoj Prabhakar, Atul Wason, Srinath, Chetan Sharma.

Great News!!
by A Singh on Nov 27, 2012 11:45 AM  | Hide replies

So, they have finally concluded that we lost because Harbhajan did not make 2 centuries in the match! He was not expected to take wickets anyway.
And what about the little master?

DHONI IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
by neha on Nov 27, 2012 11:41 AM  | Hide replies

BHAJIS BAD PERFORMANCE. HE WAS GIVEN THE BOWLING ONLY AFTER 20 OVERS. ASHWIN WAS HIS FAVOURITE. THUS BHAJIS CONFIDENCE HAD GONE LOW, BEC CAPTAIN HAD NO CONFIDENCE IN HIM. BHAJI WLD HAVE BOWLED BETETR THAN ASHWIN WITH THE NEW BALL.

Ashwin was given new ball as there was no second fast bowler, more over KP played Bhaji well, there were couple of wrong decisions that went against Ash (lbw). Both did not do well, but Ash better than Bhaji

its a shame for sachin!!
by SAIF AHMED on Nov 27, 2012 11:36 AM  | Hide replies

Looking at his poor scores in all the recent series and his age he shd have been the first one to retire thanlaxman or dravid who would have played a lot better and strengthed the team spply in India like ever..so sad to lose atleast laxman who shd have been allowed till to play till the end of this year atleast.

Wait for some more years to observe a unique record of the father-son duo of Sachin-Arjun playing for India. And the record will remain intact forever.

Dhoni and team dont want to try hard. They are expecting pitch to do every thing.
Very wrong attitude.

LACK OF CONSISTENCY
by JRK PRASAD on Nov 27, 2012 11:34 AM

NoDoubt the present squad played in 1st two tests is best but lack of inconsistancy among middleorder like sachin, yuvraj, kohli and Dhoni. Had they contended the score without loosing their wickets atleast we would have made the match drawn.
Here one must have zeal to matain consistency. Else we will have to face the kind of results we have face in the 2nd Test at Mumbai. Only Introspection is needed among the players about their performance in the 1st and 2nd test.

Never late than ever. Please wakeup guys. All the Best for the remaining series. We all know that you can pull up your socks to clinth the Seriers and teach them a lesson.
