LIVING LEGEND Sachin is unique - MUST CONTINUE
by RAKESH YASHROY on Nov 29, 2012 10:30 AM  | Hide replies

Criticism of Sachin is just like another media selling gimmick of business. Sachin is at the Mount Everest of the game Cricket - a LIVING LEGEND, who contributes blitzing inspiration to the emerging cricketers. Cricket has gone through fixing,cheating,politicking,money-making blemishes. But Sachin kept shining like a Sun through thick and thin. Even if he may be critisized as playing for himself, 100 crore Indians play with him at heart and rejoice in his achievements. All he is expected is make a century or two. Media and sportsmen of yesteryears need not disturb him. Sachin is the performing Sun/Amitaabh of cricket, we all wish him shine as long as he wishes.

Yes not only sachin, even our sunny, kapil and dravid are 100 times better than
these guys who have become big by playing useless indian pace and spin
bowling while indian batsmen had to face fiery aussie bowling and aussie
players of course were lucky not to face the aussie pacers and
spinners!shame so much undue praise is given to non-indian cricketers for the above reason!

Shame that indian media and some vested interests are doing the
sachin-bashing for helping some vested interests! Shame Indians are so good in pulling down their own heroes and legends and a player like Sachin comes only once in 500 years, perhaps???Get some reality checks, folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and
other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting orBradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie
pace attack and they had the added luxury of facing indian bowlers andscore centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to
all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting and Others!

by bbc on Nov 29, 2012 10:09 AM

The author has conveniently taken 1 test from Aus series for Sachin as he scored good fifties in the Aus series. Even Ricky ponting scored a big hundred against the hapless Indian Attack in that series... you see its all about convenience as per one person's whims and fancies and his personal likes/diskikes

Dhoni should open
by P GANESH on Nov 27, 2012 05:30 PM

Our Captain Cool Should open at all type of matches. you see in Srilanka Mahela open, for England Captain Cook open, South Africa Smith open the innings. That's why they are at top form. See Sehwag need to bat down the order. Dhoni is the right person to open and assault any type of attack (both seam & spin). He himself forget that he is the match winner and he open the innings with Gambhir in India A.

Sachin will retire
by EastIndian on Nov 27, 2012 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

and surely enough, he will retire...but what about the other 10 in the team, fix them first. The other 10 cannot even score 100 runs in the fast bouncy tracks of Australia or England and now proved that even spinning tracks are not their forte

Lets not talk about Sachin alone, whats happening to other stalwarts in our team. Do you all want others to retire as well?

Once Sachin retires.. they will target them too.. They need a subject to keep trashing without realizing how much worth they are. A very capable person can understand the achivements others make. Rest are time passers. passing an opinion is very easy.

Siddhu's take on Tendulkar
by asliSwadeshi on Nov 27, 2012 03:19 AM

There is a famous saying in Hindi that a lamp (diya) burns the brightest when it nears its end but looking at the current form of the greats like Tendulkar one is reminded of the words of T.S.Elliot

This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper
