Because he has entered politics. What Sachin is going to achieve in his 40th year? He had already past his prime. What more he is going to teach youngsters in cricketing skills. He plays only for his personal pecuniary interest. I think that his last test hundred was on a flat pitch in Bangladesh? Under perfect fast blowing conditions he had not shined after he crossed his 30th year or so. If youngsters want to emulate him and watch his action let them see his videos and learn. Better he retires now atleast and give slot to an youngster. But so far he is very evasive in replying to this question?

Sycophancy

Is it the selectors who decide who should play or is it for the players to select themselves?. Shukla should request english bowlers to let sachin score in view of his past colossal performance.

Why this consideration only for bombay players?. Vishwanath, Dravid and Lakshman were dropped / prodded to announce retirement for just one bad series.

Play Sachin Play

I am not sure why people are unnecessary exited about Sachin retiring. Based on his past performance, Sachin is eligible to play for another 11 years. From now till next 11 years he should be considered playing on pension years.

nobody is excited about his retirement ! Let him continue till he dies ! no problem ?? But we cannot let this effect the team chances of winning matches ! "He will do well in forthcoming matches," Shukla said. So let hime continue till he scores his century in infinity. Similarly Sehwag has scored a century in the first test so he can continue to score less runs in future matches! Selectors and officials are also Indians; so they can be corrupt. Let the AAM ADMI sit and suck

Retirement.....

His past records and a trail of splendid achievments shouldnot be considered as a reason for him to continue in the Team.He should take cue from his Weste Indies counterpart Brian Lara or his friend Mr Dravid and retire graciously before he turns into a burden for the Team.No Player in the world has done age defying perfromances till date. When age catches up one's reflexes get slow. Its natural.Sachin has to realise this.
