1) Harbhajan Taking Harbhajan was a big mistake, Dhoni did it knowingly! If experience was all that was required, they could have roped in Prasanna/Venkat!
2) Bastsmen can not handle quality spin
Batsmen like Yuvraj, Dhoni and even Kohli can not play quality spin attack in a Test match!
3) Lacking motivation After getting big money from T20, Commercials, .., Dhoni lacks the commitment level required to play Tests. The same rubs off to the entire team! See how Kallis, virtually playing on one leg, played two match-saving innings!
4) Captaincy Dhoni does not have the attitude for Tests. I have been saying this for ages. Test match is fought session by session for 5 days and it takes a lot of intensity to carry the fight for 15 sessions. Dhoni does not give any impression of having done any home work when placing fielders specially for different batsmen. He is simply going thru motion like a robot!

he is also msfit for T-20 intnl. He shoudl play only ODI on subcontinent pitches. Rest all formats- he is not on merit but for some other consideration
watch & learn how SA played AUS.. Faf du plesis playin his debut played for an entire day.. Batted more than 60 overs and saved the match for his country..
we were never a great team...only some outstanding players came in team and they clicked. we seem to get carried away by emotions... we are ruling the cricket only bcoz we have 125 crore population and their love for cricket...bcci and idiot players have nothing to do with the revenue the ipl or bcci generate dhoni and sachin should be compulsarily retired

Along with YUVI,Kohli,Bhajji & Gambhir. We want a new team in 3rd test who can't lose worse than this team which was white washed in SA/England & now in INDIA.

He always used to complain pitch slowed down when he batted, as if he will be doing great if it assisted fast bowling.
Sachin tells the Selection board that he will retire after the Australia series that ends in March 2013 i.e. four months away and the selection committee gives that long rope to Sachin
This guy was injured in the first innings while bowling and was rested and was declared that he won't be playing in the next 2 matches but the guy returns to bat to save his team and ends up scoring 57 & 45 in both the innings and saves SA from defeat.Batting on one leg & yet doing more than what 11 Indian batsmen cudn't do on 2 legs, and this guy is 37 years old. This is hallmark of greatness.

salute this great..u should also include another warrior, shivnarine chanderpaul...
they both were tough nuts and under them only our team performed exceptionally well..they called a spade a spade..under krish as selector, they lacked the guts to point at non performing players..in one way, the only fraternity which has enjoyed the coffins of the bcci (or should i say public money) without any kind of accountability are the coaches like kirsten and now the present humpty dumpty...
am sure given the rough and tough nature of sandeep patil, we should see some change in our performance..
