In India, in every field amatures galoe..Very few people talk about Sachin who should have been dropped at least three years ago.He is an eye sore whjen he is in the crease. Every time he gets out his body language tells us that the fielding side is at fault to get him out.Khan is only a ghost of his in-form stature.Zak should be dropped along with Sachin.
when there is no big contribution from one player of winning team, like every batsman scores 30/40 runs and wickets almost equally shared and one player from the losing side makes a huge contribution.

and in this match Pujara made a huge contribution compared to Eng captain Cook.
I would have really appreciate if they prepare one green top pitch at home & win the series. And also in England series only once we crossed 300 mark total. But England managed to get 400 that too in 1st test

What could India do better than winning at home? We won, mate! So be happy with that. India can set abroad record straight next time we tour Eng. There's no comparison of 300 by India in Eng v 400 by Eng here. Both lost the first test miserably.
but I think Pujara's choice is appropriate as he held India innings together else we would have not even made 400. Nevertheless hardwork from Ojha paid off especially his 2nd innings was a persistent effort.

Players from losing side also got MOM; I think you dont know the history

i know history of cricket very well my friend, but given that Cook scored only 176 as compared to Pujara's 206 n.o. and his effort came up in losing cause, it's difficult to get MoM. Nowadays rarely players from losing side get MoM especially in tests.

hello Iyerey, scoring 176 , under pressure that too in follow on is very tough..

scoring 176 is tough under pressure alright but did Cook's innings give Eng even a small chance to win? No. It only prolonged the inevitable. Had he score 176 and it would have taken the match to a draw or made to toil for over 200 runs and India would have lost 5-6 wkts in the process, yes, Cook would have been considered for MoM.

Pujara also made 41 n.o. in 2nd innings! BTW, i said in test cricket and you are giving T20I examples. Shorter the version more chances of losing side getting MoM. ODIs is next but tests very rare and difficult to justify a losing cause performance as MoM.

as kapil dev said ,batsman are boss and ballers are workers, actually i protest thast why ojha did not get MOM award,as it was flat pitch for indian standards?
