hopefully no relatives or close friends of cook and/or prior get ill or have just died...otherwise it will be very tough for england to save the test...

this is criminal
by Sunil Vaidya on Nov 18, 2012 06:54 PM  | Hide replies

how can anybody leave while the match is going on....very unprofessional...he just had to wait one more day...even sachin did not leave any match midway when his father died...

what gambhir did is very unpardonable...so in essence once again india is batting with 10 players...in england when zaheer broke down it was 10 players a side for india...now this ....totally unacceptable...

but gambhir leaving a match in between is india's problem....such a player should not be allowed to play the next match as a disciplinary action...who knows when he will desert india the next time?

i am not going to ask him to do anything...but if he and bcci does not take any action against gambhir i will be very disappointed...and like i said this is now a very bad precedent...

ckt is nt the only thing in life. in life n death situation, even the batsman can leave half way of his batting. hv sympathy with the cktr. cktrs r not machine that they can work non-stop.

vinay his grandmother was dead...what life n death situation? so in future if any of his relative is ill is he going to leave the match midway??/ he is playing for india representing india...they r not machine they cannot work nonstop...true... so he should not have played this match then...very very bad precedent...now anybody may leave the match midway citing his wife or husband or girl friend in not feel well...

i dont know when exactly sachin got the news of his father's death...i am only saying even he did not left the match midway...and i dont think he would have left the match way midway if he had received the news while the match was in progress...to leave a match midway is criminal and unprofessional...besides the grandmother was dead...gambhir had just one more day to play and then he could have left...like i said this is a very bad precedent...now anybody can leave citing gambhir example if any relative of his is not well or just died....
