Only one from the above list is outside Asia. That too against the mighty West Indies of that day.

congrats to pujara who is perfect player for the test matches. pujara has been showing tremendous temperament, technique, attitude n big hunger for runs n scoring big innings, staying for long hours at the crease.
pujara, the junior wc player of the tournament, has unique record (!) of scoring 3 triple centuries within a span of a month.

Ramdas Nayak
Pujara's
by Ramdas Nayak on Nov 16, 2012 08:28 PM  | Hide replies

talent came to light only because of Dravid giving away his place to youngsters. Now we find there is only one weak link in the team who does not bat, bowl or field whose name I need not take here. This one time super cricketer does not want to give away his place for fear of losing his celebrity status and consequently dropping out of endorsements demand. It is sad for India that selectors or BCCI does not have guts to "rest" this player for home series and bring a youngster in his place. It has become eyesore to see this great player clean bowled so many times mostly like tail enders.

5 out of 8 names listed are Marathi players. Don't really need Sachin to be there.

Time for the Grand father of indian test team to step aside and let youngsters like Ajinkya, show their mettle like Pujara has shown today.

this list is based on age while scoring double 100. Sachin was 26 when he scored in 1999 v NZ and 30 when he scored in Sydney v Aus.
