Again you are using adhominem attacks and a person's past rather than discussing a matter in hand. A typical indian childish mentality. I guess, dont shoot the messengerdum@ss.;)

Just see the dicussion below your comment...

May be Trot himself wasn't too sure

or may be he thought the ball never touched the ground.
His eyes were not really on the ball when it couhed the ground to know...
All happens in split second.

I would give him the benefit of doubt...

Sunny is paranoid about whites

Very well said. For some reason Sunny Gavaskar seems to be always in a state of war with Whites. The Aussies keep reminding him about the Denis Lillie episode where he walked away with the non striker after getting out :). He should not speak about spirit of cricket anyways (36 not out in 60 overs :))

Just the way you're pro-white, most of us're going to stand up against our former rulers.

SOrry!!!

By the way, do you know Symonnd was proven lying by the Judge from NZ in that Bhajji episode, and still Bhajji got a ban and Symond went untouched..

Anyway, Gavasker is absolutely right here.

Wasn't sure? May be you didn't see the replay. It's impossible to believe that he wasn't sure.

He knew what he was doing..

From what i saw in the replays on you tube, his eyes didn't seem to be on the ball when it bounced on the ground.

Its possible he may have known what happend and its possible he may not...in case like this i will give him the benefit and not go as far as calling him a cheat.

Just for record, Sunny once himself said that when fielders takes catches like this or half catches they themselves may not be in a position to judge whether the catch is clean, while commenting during that controversial series down under when ricky proposed fielder's word should be taken for whether the catch is taken clean...

c'mon now, when ball slips out of yoru hand and on the ground and you pick it up again, even blind will know what he did.

By blaming Gavasker will not make Trott saint.

Gavasker may be bit paranoid, but he is leading his nation stand up against the biased treatment that Indian cricket suffered for decades.

During the last tour of Aussie, Katich literally blocking Gambhir by spreading his arms when Gambhir was running for single. Gambhir pushed him as Katich inetntionally came in his way with his arm spread out. Ahh, Gmabhir got a ban and Katich didn't even get a warning.

The point is the most referees are still afraid to go against English and Aussies. And some one has to speak out..

No, Sunny is correct in paying back the Whites in the same coin.

Sunny's own record as far as sportmanship is concerned is not too clean. There are numerous incidents when the spirit of cricket was not followed. Please search lille vs Sunny on Youtube and then comment on this issue. Its not about being pro white, its to have a balanced view of things

You are not giving a balanced view when you keep yapping like a broken record to see that video, and yes that video proves one thing what sunny stood up to bullying, its not like he again continued batting again.

Again you are using adhominem attacks and a person's past rather than discussing a matter in hand typical indian childish mentality i guess, dont shoot the messengerdum@ss.;)

atul if you read the account of the sunny's other opening partner in that match and on the pitch that time...lillie was constantly abusing sunny throught his innings.....len pascoe and lillie were appealing evn when sunny use to leave the ball... nobody was stopping them.....evn chappel said that his fielders and bowlers got little carried away as they didnt expected india to have an unbroken opening partnership going above 150.....sunny as usual batting without any halmet or even cap....and pascoe and lillr were averaging 3 bouncers per over (although that worked against them).....

sunny's anguish is not without reason.....in 1988 when india's proposed series against england in india was cancelled as england included in the squad some players who were playing in south africa and indian government interfered for the first time...requesting the english cricket board to alter their squad....they didnt although none of the players were very significant.....instead a headline came in all the english newspapers that time "HOW DARE THEY"....any self respecting indian cricker or not will not tolerate it.....
