Why Dravid why?

Lets have a look at the facts :
When Duncan Fletcher left as the coach of the English team, the team was languishing in the lower half of the rankings table, and as his effect weaned away, the team started to win and also became the no. 1 test side, the world champions in T20 and a really formidable team.

Before Fletcher took over as the coach of the Indian Team , the team was ranked no.1 in tests, the world champions in ODI's and an all pitch performing team. As soon as Fletcher took over the reigns of the team, the team lost its no.1 status in tests, lost 8 tests on a trot, couldn't even make the finals of tri-series in australia and the asia cup (where they were beaten by Bangladesh).

So question is not whether or not he should have more say in selection process but why the hell is he still the coach of Indian team?

The most important thing Fletcher was the coach of English Team in 2007, the year in which India beat England in England and that too without a coach (after Greg Chappel was sacked as a coach).

so really what are Fletcher's credentials to coach this team??

Superb point! Words of wisdom...without playing cricket?! Fletcher formed the core that became World No 1 from nowhere. Dravid knows what he is talking about and he is right.

You are one of the most respected player - frankly too many people have a say in the selection of team right from people in parliament to scavengers.

Dravid and Tendulkar are worst Captians. The were not agressive or assertive. They just jumped to the tunes of BCCI or Coaches,Like Egositic Robert Clive of Indian Cricket like Greg Chappel, and was thrown out first round world cup in 2007.
