If a healthy discussion on cricket in a cricket column is abuse, then those reporting it are either insane or uneducated

The art of spin is not to get the bounce on the ball to get it to the rib cage of the batsmen. U have to defeat them in the flight and the loop. Unfortunately only very few times, we have seen u do that. Even that is not sure. The bounce may be your strength but a good spinner should have other crafts to deceive a batsman. We r not surprised in dhoni's comments bcoz we know u both are very good friends.

than persisting with harbhajan. what r our selectors doing? one chief destroyer gone and another one called sandeep patil stepped in!!! Along with sreenivasan these people will ruin indian cricket. Now they r saying they dont have a good spinner in first class cricket which itself is like admitting failure. They could have just given a chance to U19 spinner harmeet singh during newzealand series. Harbhajan was drafted into the side when he was just 20 or 21. harmeet singh seemed to be classical left arm spinner with good flight and loop

srikkanth was not chief destroyer he was chief creator or chief maker...i dont think any other selector's tenure saw such success...

Yeah. The 4-0 defeats in australia and england tells the story.. We were playing really well in test cricket both abroad and home, before he took charge. And not even during azhar's tenure in which we did not won a single test overseas for 15 years, had we faced such humiliation. He was the one, who made IPL T20 performances the yardstick for selection in to the indian team. He forgot that there is a first class cricket being played in the country. During the first few days after he took charge, he selected ms gony for indian odi squad. The list just went on from there. The repeated selection of raina into the test cricket shows what his cricekting intelligence is. Even a layman can find that he doesnt have the technique to play in the longer version of the game. But if he cannot find any problem in that, then he is not fit enough to occupy that seat.Else if there is some other intention, then also he is not the man to be the chief selector .Ganguly retired from the test team 4 years ago and almost for 3 years that slot remained unfilled. Its only last december that virat kohli came in to the team. But for three years he was not able to do anything rather than trying our yuvraj and raina, both of whom are not good enough to be in the test side bcoz of their technique and footwork.A good selector should hav drafted somebody in even before his retirement. Just dont bark on the world cup glory alone. The quality of a cricket team is how they perform in tests that too abroad

thats not true...we have won abroad also under dhoni we have won series in nz, sl wi besides we have won tests in sa...yes we lost badly vs aus and eng...but it was not only captain dhoni at fault...in one test against aus at adelaide dhoni was not there because he was banned for one test for slow overrate...sehwag captained indian team still we lost by nearly 300 runs though dhoni was not there in the team as a captain and as a player...the losses there were not because of bad captaincy...but because of tired and injured players and any other captain or any other coach would have made no difference...even if dhoni was not captain we would have lost by the same margin at that particular time...kirsten was lucky that he went away after wc win....believe you me, if instead of duncan fletcher he was coach during aus and eng we would have lost as horribly...

like dhoni said after the defeats that everything that possibly could go wrong went wrong...tired players, injured players breaking down during the test...whether u want to believe it or not...the results would have been same at that particular time under any captain or any coach..

In fact Mr. Patil could have dropped Harbhajan, Sehvag,Gambhir and Zahir to make room for Pathan,Dinda, Rahane in the playing eleven.
