It has begun.. His aim is to play 4 Tests against England & Aussie and probably make a trip to SA to complete 200th test matches. But the question is will he be successful against English attack.. BCCI should have invited Bangladesh to play 2 Tests instead calling the Pakis..

For a good batsman the only order is to score runs.Even Sachin had been opening with Saurabh in ODI's.Manoj Tiwary has been a prolific scorer in domestic cricket.

This is not safe selection,this is politics.Remember Amol Mazumdar!How Shehwag & Gambhir can find a place;because they scored runs a year back? Are we living on past or present? Talking on past performance, Gavaskar & NSSiddhu should have still continued.
Media should also publish the statistics of the amount made by each of these players through AD.They should also publish the corresponding amount made by other players of equal if not more repute, through AD.
why justify wrong selections with stats of last 20 years. Any meaningful guess of potential performance of a player in a forthcoming match can be gauged by his performance in last 10 matches and not by his last 100 matches. Else Vinod Kambli is still the best batsman.
