Rajan,

Every avg. English cricketer,
has scored

1. More runs in

2. More centuries in Tests,

at Eng/ Aus/ SA

than Sachin.

That speaks,
they still hold patent for the game.

Can you sight, the Most Successful of Indian Cricketers, in history, with better track record,

in white continents?

Sorry, i didnt get u.. And please dont tell me that all english cricketers are talented. only very few are. And their record all these years speaks for themselves. Except that t20 wc, they havent won any icc tournament till now. remember they hav been playing for all these years and its they who invented the game. And almost all teams, including india, have beaten them in odi's and tests in their own backyard. That too series wins. And also there is no point in comparing individual records.. What matters is how team has performed? That wil tell us something about the players caliber as well.

Eng aus sa hav pitches which suits their play. there is swinging conditions in england but be it in aus sa or eng, it suits fast bowling. when u rate them, u hav to find out how their players have played in the sub continent? How many runs they have scored here? Bcoz like how australia, south africa and england is to us, the sub continental conditions is the same to them.. Before commenting about sachin's record in australia and england, i will say am not a big fan of him anymore. What i was about to say is that, sachin has good record in australia and also in england in test matches and its better than many other english batsmen. When u say that all average eng cricketers has better record that sachin in eng australia and sa, i would like to say that, its either bcoz or ur ignorance or u have some other intention in ur mind. Let me ask u one thing... r u a citizen of england? If not, then i would like to remind u that they dont rule us anymore. so there is no chance of u getting undue favours from them, if u speak on their behalf

English cricketers r stil infants & their brain yet is to dev
by Rajan S on Nov 02, 2012 09:55 PM  | Hide replies

England team has always been more worried about other technical aspects of the game rather than their cricketing skills. That is the reason why they have always been an average team. Only recently they started doing well in test cricket. But two reasons can be attributed to their success. One is that they have improved considerably as a team but the other point is that there is a significant decline in the cricketing standards of other competing teams. eg: australia. But ever since they reached the number one spot in test cricket, their arrogance and ego have come back with a sort of vengeance.
Only less than 5% of the game is dependent on other factors like crowd noise, sledging etc. The main part is played on the field with bat and ball. But still england is more worried about the lesser aspect. So i guess, they might have felt that they dont have any control on their cricketing aspect, when playing in the subcontinent as they dont have the ability and skills needed for that

You made few good points, but I beg to differ on your opinion about sledging, crowd noise is only 5%. Sledging can really become a deciding factor at times. There are lots of exaples where sledging has changed the course of a match. Like the one in which Andrew Symonds,Hayden both got out due to the aggression shown by Sreesanth & I.Pathan, till then Aussies looked comfortable to win. Also the famous quarter finals in 1996 WC, where Aamir Sohail lost his cool agaisnt Prasad and got out. Who thought till then India would win? There are many cases where fielders talk to batsmen and make them lose their focus. It used to happen to Kohli during initial days. Many more egs. But, how a batsman or a bowler handles this, really decides which team wins in most cases. Many bowlers lose focus trying to be aggressive, like our Sreesanth

Selding is an unwelcome addition to this game. Also Zaheer tried slefing during 2003 WC finals against Hayden and Pointing and got hit all over.

yeah i agree. What i was trying to say is that, they keep on trying such so-called innovative methods, when they come to sub continent and then gets beaten fair and square. so its high time their cricket board, management and the team, try and find the actual solution to the problem. That is their inability to play good spin bowling. I guess, this time they have the best chance, since they hav 3 quality batsmen in bell, trott and kevin peterson
And also they dont hav to try out such methods to combat sledging. they hav good ones in their team itself like cook, broad, bresnan etc. We agree that there will be lot more noise from the crowd in india. But when they say that they r trying new techiniques to handle sledging, it seems to suggest that its only in india that sledging happens which is giving wrong signals. It is the english and australian cricketers who brought this thing in to the game. Saurav ganguly realised that we have to give it back if somebody sledge us. And its only from that time, that we started giving them back, as taste of their own medicine.
