Selfish Decision
by Jatin Das on Jun 01, 2012 11:13 AM  | Hide replies

The IPL & T20 cricket is spoiling good cricketers in the world. It started with Flintoff, then followed by Malinga & now a great batsman like Pitersen. The actual cricket is Test Cricket where the actual skills & mental strength of a cricketer is tested. Even 50 over One day is a very good format of the game.Cricketers who are selfish are only eyeing IPL & T20 tournaments to make money & not to play for the longer version of the game.

His concern is increasing demand on the Body. In that case, 2 month long IPL season will put more stress on his body.

modern world criketing trend
by Manoj poojary on Jun 01, 2012 09:23 AM

its now been a trend,to play till 30 yrs for ur country n then make money before u retire, its natural to earn money as they can just go on till 36 yrs.

Gayle is doing its and has earned a lot,he plays for all club.malinga has stopped playing test cricket, gilchrist, hayden, and many more have retired earlier to earn through club matches. They get peanuts by playing for the country. Its quite natural. Even dhoni has decided to quite test cricket after 2013,

Kevin wont stop playing T20,has the game wat he played in IPL was world class. He easily made 60,70 by just attacking on the V.hitting sixes on long on and long off. great batsmen.

Very sad
by Bala on Jun 01, 2012 08:11 AM  | Hide replies

Very sad to see such class player in all format of cricket retiring at an early age. I request Kevin to play in ODI, T20 and test at least for the next two years. We are loving your game so much.

Firstly, its the player's wish to retire at 32 or 38. Fitness was not a problem for KP. There should be some other reason not to pursue ODI and T20. I dont know why anybody's retirement will have a reference to Sachin's. It is simply a futile exercise and retirement seems to be the new buzzword nowadays.... :) And sorry, I am not a Sachin fan, just another cricket lover.
