No other work !!
by Manoj Mehta on May 29, 2012 09:05 PM  | Hide replies

Seems people of Kolkata does not have any work celebrating such a useless event as if India has won the won the world cup. It is pity that Mamta is busy spending time, efforts & money on such events rather than doing some useful things for debt ridden West Bengal !!

Mr Gupta...people like you and dumbos from your community and state will spend all your life counting money and releasing gas....You people were good for nothing before and good for nothing now....Only thing you know is how to steal,loot,corruption,smuggle....You Sabji-Chapati people will bark on every corner and pee in everywhere....Dont try to judge Bengalis...first produce something extraordinary rather than money machine and then come to compare you MEDIOCR.

IPL Triumph
by Sudeep Jaiswal on May 29, 2012 09:03 PM  | Hide replies

Entire Kolkata or for that matter Bengal going gaga over IPL victory, including the Governor of the state equating it with so called "Poriborton". Why this euphoria when neither the owner has anything to do with Bengal nor the Team Management, even there was hardly any player from Bengal in the playing eleven. May be by generating this frenzy the Chief Minister wants to show it as her 'Achievement'. And I thought the people of Bengal are very intelligent !!!

u cannot understand the sports craze of the people of kolkata if u have never been to kolkata..
when they celebrated coming of messi and maradona or win of Mohan Bagan then this was obvious....

Kolkata is the only city of India which have sports club culture...

Indians are still immature about leagues
by Incredible India on May 29, 2012 08:50 PM  | Hide replies

The open bus celebration or victory march is common in european club football. Recently chealsea did that and all their fan emerged to the parade. So whats wrong if KKR did the same.. there is nothing wrong in.. and specially in the city of Kolkata which is the only city in the country who have sports club culture.. they are bound to do this..

this is no football club and IPL is no football league. i might be wrong but i have never seen such state sponsored felicitations for M. BAGAN. even if it was, it never got such a push from chief minister of state.

Since IPL is still immature people here are also immature.. there is no big deal in such celebration..
Didnt Chelsea did open bus parade after their recent wins...
If IPL is going to go long way.. it requires fan support and these are the ways through which the fans gets connected..
Nothing wrong...
People who are here shouting about nation and club does support the european football clubs..

Chelsea owners and other people have deep roots to the place and the club. What has SRK done for Kolkota? He doesn't even live there. He has no skin in the game still people go crazy over this?

IPL divided Indian team. It created rift among top players. Within 2-3 days of the World Cup Victory team players were playing against each other. Neither Players or the country got to celebrate the world cup.
How much Dhoni gets under table and how much Gambhir gets is the subject of discussion.

In Italy they found people who were fixing football games. They went after them and arrested them. What happened to any one from BCCI to big players. Only small frys are caught. That's it.

Actually Neel M YOU are finding a fault in me. Well it goes both ways isn't it?

But everybody is in this for money not passion. So all these owners will keep it till they get good value out of it. SRK has never been of anybody, including that of Gauri. You really think he will be of a third state where he has no connections. You are day dreaming.

If so, a SRK to move to Kolkata please.

You wont understand Suvra because you cant think beyond Saurav....For Bengalis Saurav,Kolkata,Bengali,Bengal all terms are important and they signify something about Bengal....So even though Saurav did not Lead KKR (which actually no IPL Winning team also never had yet..Shane Warne for RR,Dhoni of CSK etc have won cup who were not Localite...So nothinh so shocking this time....We all love Saurav but that does not take away any credit from KKR.Atleast I did not want to see KKR in bottom of league table atleast
