Shastri ji.....In a recent poll Dravid got maximum polls for adapting to t-20 format.... Rahuk Dravid-cumplete player. He was never into limelight because he was much interested to play for the country.
Sachin is a not a game changer and in very few occasions he could achieve win for India. He played so many matches and earned so many centuries and runs(amassed huge money as well) but that was not an achievement in terms of win for the country. When we take Kapil, Dhoni, Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Lara and so on are great cricketers in terms of team's achievement. Sachin scored centuries and runs for himself not for the country and so he is a selfish cricketer.

sachin scored run for himself...!! You want SACHIN to donate the runs to other poor batsmen?????
even era of sachin and lara has ended. now the new icon of batting is Dhoni and bowling is our own Ashwin. infact Dhoni is best Captain of all the eras concerned. he is also the best wk batsman for all formats of cricket which he has proven again and again

Finally I get to hear some praise for KALLIS, who in my opinion has been the best cricketer in modern day cricket.Apart from his consistency in all formats of the game, one has to appreciate and laud him for his longevity in international cricket as a potent allrounder for more than a decade. He ia a master technician with the bat,a great bowler and an exceptional fielder.I doubt we will get to see an allrounder of his pedigree in the future considering the prominence shifting to shorter formats of the game.I'm a die hard fan of sachin and test cricket and having played cricket at state level for Delhi,I hope I'm in some position to comment about the greatness of some players. In my humble opinion,I would maintain that Rahul Dravid with Kallis would be the best batsman of the modern era.

no doubt about srt being selfish and money minded.Five years before, when T20 started money was less and he excused himself saying T20 is for younsters. Come IPL and, more money, he has been playing IPL for last five years and he is yet to prove himself in T20.Greedy.

I fully agree with you. Tendya has been a failure not only in T-20 but also in ODIs. Barring a few exceptions, which prove the rule, he has mostly scored less than 25 in most of the matches in both these formats.

RAVI SHASTRI APPEARS TO BE PARTISAN WHEN HE IGNORED RICKY PONTING AND JACK KALLIS WHILE ASSESSING THE CLASS OF BATSMEN. PONTING WAS MORE CONSISTANT IN SCORING RUNS AND HE ALSO HAD TO SHARE THE BURDEN OF CAPTAINCY. HE IS BEST TEST CAPTAIN IN THE WORLD AND AUSTRALIA HAS WON THREE WOPRLD CUPS UNDER HIS LEADERSHIP.

Well.. that's Shastri opinion. Many others had the similar opinion as well and that includes Sir Viv..
