You are right. Had Chennai played their last game after Bangalore did, then it would have been a close game with CSK needing to score a set target to overtake RCB's NRR. Then, everyone would have praised CSK's determination. There is no luck here.

Chenai were thrashed in their last game against KXIP. They could needed all results exactly in this order for them to go through
Deccan chargers beat RCB
Delhi beat KXIP
Deccan beat Rajasthan
Their luck that all results turned out their way including resurgence of Deccan chargers to take down 2 Play off contenders with them.
Isn't that luck?

LOSER you are!! CSK is a professionally run franchise, their owners run cricket academies from 1960s which had produced great cricketers(by indian standards at least). Those who call Chennai Lucky..please understand Owners like SRK, PZ, Vijay useless Mallya and Ambani are the LUCKY ones who own a cricket team with their ill gotten , inherited wealth. It is so irritating to see SRK and PZ's theaterics in the stadium, at least one got eliminated and the drunkards team is also out.
Matches fixing is possible if at least 7 players from each side and team managements are involved. It may be possible , i don't know. Just becoz CSK enters play offs you can term it as fixing..it the scheduling that gave chance for all to talk about Luck , Fixing, etc.. but the truth is even with below par performance CSK could qualify for play offs..so that shows the calibre of the loser teams..may RR was an exception may be unlucky..

That shows your lack of knowledge on indian cricket..it is not just chennai cricketers who are trained in their academy..Have you heard about India Cements , MRF? If not please keep quiet .

This one is an idio-t. The academy even trained international players too. These guys bash chennai for no reasons just to show their racist hatred.

Mumbai indians think tank is pathetic

Shaun pollock failed to even understand what is the duckworth lewis par score, during the 2003 wc match against sl. MI have tried some 14 different opening combinations this season in only 16 matches. Their approach in the first six overs doesnt make any sense. And by the start of 12th over, it seems they are already behind the eighth ball. But somehow they scrape through and wins the match in the last 2 or 3 balls. Sachin tendulkar should bat more aggressively, and the idea of promoting smith might have worked in the last match against RR but that may not be the case always.

About Dhoni
by sanjay misra on May 22, 2012 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is very lucky and has good finishing skill. He struggled but reached playoff by virtue of luck. Now he will exhibit his true class as a finisher to finish the IPL as a winner.
