Late Ramnath parkar opening partner of Sunil Gavaskar who was dropped from the team for non cricketing reasons to accomodate players personally close to the then indian selectors has had a very raw deal from the selectors as well as fate. The board needs to recognize his contributions

Ramnath Parker was one of the greatest fielders in covers and was instrumental in Bombay winning one of the Ranji Trophy finals when all the star players were in national duty. He died due to complications aftermath a scooter accident. His family is not well off. Players of Mumbai who have played with him and who are raking in millions should at least have the courtesy to either recommend his name for this benefit or share their money with Ramnath Parker's family. Further it is a shame on BCCI for ignoring Kapil Dev the greatest allrounder India has produced for his services to the nation. It was Kapil Dev who wanted cricketers to be rewarded financially and it was his idea to start a league like IPL. When the BCCI ignored his ideas he went on to start ICL.Later on the BCCI to counter ICL started IPL.
Every common Individual who born between late 60s and end 70s know who made cricket popular in India.
To all our surprise these legends were left out. It was told during 1983 that the person who faced pace with courage and hooked the bouncers are non other than Jimmy, Kapil. In that serious Gavaskar scored century on rain affected Georgetown. But to all courage Jimmy Played Late Marshall, Garner, Andy to the plumb. When BS Sandu, Sanjay Manrekar are awarded It is said, the BCCI was governed by Notorious People only. So sad. But It is good that Kapil did not get the award. Because He deserves Sir. Because today cricket is famous in India because of Kapil and Azzu. To some extent Sachin. Others are not so great to market cricket to all parts of India.

Good comment, Hope BCCI Ban Test Cricket&Ranji Crocket&Duleep Trophy cricket forever and supports ONLY One day matches of 50 over and 20 over variety only since poor nations like us Must not waste millions of working hours every year by playing long duration matches. The game of CRICKET was intoduced by crooked and wicked british looters, like making and marketing of mahatma gandhii and non-violence dirty trick to make all majority hindus mmorrns and ennuchs and cowards forever and the past 64 years shows that the crooked britishers were successful to make us a BANANA REPUBLIC of majority morrons with their dirty games, we must BAN Test Cricket forever and WE must shout that we will not allow Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET to make us poorer any more. One day cricket or t20 or t30 cricket ONLY must be allowed and THEY MUST BE ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED ONLY ON WEEK-ENDS OR HOLIDAYS so that we do not lose millions of working hours of men and women and youth any more and we do not remain poor forever due to useless and time-wasting and Boring TEST Cricket too. All patrrioti c citizens and sponsors MUST BOYCOT TEST Cricket and ranji and dulepp trophy cricket FORVER if they love the nation and want the nation to be supoer power in next 20 or 25 years too!
It is ironical that Kapil Dev, the first Indian captain to win WC for India is not among the reciepients.Earlier media had reported about Kapil and Azar not gettig the one time package.Azar's case is understandable because he was formally banned by BCCI on match fixing charges. But why leave out Kapil, the greatest allrounder India ever produced and the ist cricketer to win the WC for India ? All such decisions have to be backed by certain basis and 'ground rules' rather than be left to the whims and fancies of the administrartors !
