Love Dada!
by Jay on May 11, 2012 10:59 AM

There is no second thought that he is a great player and a great leader...one cannot have 10000 runs in fluke...
However, i feel that he now should be focusing more on mentoring and building up a strong team of Pune. Why Pune, is because this is the team which gave him a chance to prove his mettel.
He has been a great mentor throughout his life. He is known to have build team India from nothing... I guess he has the weakest Indian team when he led... with only Sachin/ dada to rely on ... but he has build players... players like Harbhajan, Yuvraj, Irafan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, and many more...
He should now be focusing on building up the players in Pune and am sure he will create a dream team who will come back strong in the next season and win the IPL...
I am from Kolkata but I still have my heart out for Dada... we all love him ... will continue to love him and be with him at any point of time, any situation. I purchased a complimentary ticket for Rs. 2000 for teh May 5th tie at Eden garden betweek Pune and KKR...just to see him playing as I may not get another change to see the legend playing... A Legend Forever...feel bad for him as he could have contribute more to Indian cricket if all the controversies have not taken place...
We love you Dada!

Dada is not fit for 20-20. He shouldn't have played IPL-3,4,5. It is a late decision. But we agree he WAS a great cricketer

Mentoring by Gaandoongly will be even worst for PWI. They are already out of IPL.

Apurva, inflated ego is already punctured by the rejection faced in IPL-2011. And as Kutty says, we can understand how professional you are when you bring in regionalism....
He has 10k runs in ODIs and 7k runs in tests. Please dont speak loosely of people.....

Ganguly Sachin, Dravid,Zaheer
by Ravindra Phulsundar on May 11, 2012 10:38 AM

My personal opinion is Ganguly Sachin, Dravid,Zaheer should stop playing for IPL. They are spoiling their names. Sachin, Dravid,Zaheer are more required for country than club. I beleive they have sufficient money. I feels bad when somebody comments on their performance based on their IPL performance.

Chuck Yuvraj Singh too!!
by Santhanam on May 11, 2012 10:23 AM  | Hide replies

Good start by Subrato Roy to take out Ganguly from his set up. Ganguly was a fine player in the past but he is past his due date now. He better be a Mentor to the team or a Commentator. Also one more suggestion. Pls chuck out Yuvraj Singh as well as he is past his prime too. Shahrukh's Kolkata did make some decent changes and their Team is Number 1 this IPL. My suggestion to Subrato is Chuck out Yuvraj Singh and make a new set up to avoid this agony in next IPL.

Santhanam, Yuvi was the main reason we were able to do so well in the WC. Infact, PWI is missing the services of Yuvi very badly....

Actually matte we Indian cricket fans don't deserve any cricketing glory. The man who taught us how to win in the overseas as well as the man who won us worldcup 2011 are judged based on some IPL, which is nothing but a domestic cricket competition. I am not saying that ganguly should go on playing but we should show respect to all those who served our country. Yuvi is battling a disease like cancer right now and someone is saying he is a spend force. I think these guys commenting on a public forum does not have the dignity or ethics to do so.

Dhoni will never be chucked out...! He is the leading man of CSK...! See his team's consistency since 2008.

dhoni is surviving bcoz of Morkel...

team never qualified for next level whenever jadeja is there with dhoni (grt examples are WCT20-09,WCT20-10,CBSERIES,ASIACUP)

Lucky dhoni didn't have jadeja in 2011 world cup.

Ganguly was a great player
by man on May 11, 2012 10:05 AM

He was a great player but he is not a T20 player. He should have quit after IPL3 itself. He got humiliated in 2011 auction as none purchased him.

by Kutty on May 11, 2012 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

Good move by the management..... He was a great captain and a batsman for tests & ODIs till 2008. But was not at all suited for T20. Sorry Ganguly fans, no offense meant but it affected the team more than him.

I hope that PWI will emerge a better team under his guidance......

I am sure he will be a good mentor to PWI. Yuvi was also badly missed in this season. It is unfair to blame Ganguly for PWI's exit.
