by such jano on Mar 31, 2012 02:35 AM

but he has been a lagend, all legends have make it difficult towards the end of their career be it Sunny or Kapil. Kapil Paa ji become so much painInTheAss towards the end, same was with raviShahstri, i rem the 92 world cup he was a bigAssInTheTeam...so happens with all.

Let us respect his decision

As long as he scores runs he will be selected by Selectors if selectors think otherwise he may call it day.
You people are talking abt selfishness Tell me one person who is not? From politicians , babas, filmstars,IAS IPS name any one incl all who are discussing here then why r we talking abt suchin’s

He held the BAT @ 14 for National and @ 15 for India.
Just imagine at that time what are we doing?
and He became celebrity in no time and by the time he is into teen everyone around him are either selfish people or business and he was cut off from the real world and always spent with people around him without knowing much.We people at that time used to spend with best of our buddies.
We have seen many young cricketers like Sivaramakrishnan, sadanand , maninder who were promising but could n't withstand the power of celebrity status.
At least his presence is bringing some name and fame to country.
Look @ martina she proved you can be fit and play even 40 .
If a win gives county some name or fans some energy even feet like what sachin did will definitely give

Person who has given his life for cricket..achieved so much...IT guys sitting in the AC is judging.. not sure of their own potetial what they have done for country.Just ask them to work over a weekend and they will crib about d work culture. Cant work 12 hours at longer periods and judging the person who is slgging and mind u with the result. If u know someone..bring your any relative in the team who can be as successfull over next 10 years and then we would see if any such human exist, especially when u have got so much fame and still being so humble. not any young genration can achieve that.Success takes toll on everyonbes mind...Thats makes this player super-human..duh

nope.. but I would take his positives which are far higher than few forgettable performances.. and that would make him a legend.. and as a common man.. I would respect that...telling him selfish etc.. is sheer stupidty..if anyone really wanna say that..tell that to few gr8 polticians.. everyone will support !! :)

dont you think a both positives and negatives need to be taken into account to judge a player? you cant say i will consider only positives and ignore the negatives even though the negatives are there for everyone to see? and what has humility got anything to do a person's game? sachin might have plenty of good characteristics, but on the pitch his humility, longevity etc do not matter do they? its all about how he scores runs, not how he carries himself. you can be a brat and score runs for all i care.

offcousre both aspects have to be taken... but matches are wonand lost by team and not individuals..so u need to put that into perspective. If Ponting has more winning scores its bec he had support of one of d worlds greatest bowling attack. So everyone wanna become batsman like sachin in India and dat results in second grade bowling...dats the sad truth of indian cricket. Hence, overall its the unpeccable milsetones he has achieved over d years !!

if you cant accept the fact that sachin had a part in india's defeat against bdesh, it is blind fan following that you re indulging in. as long as we have such fans, indian cricket will always be in denial.

eggactly sme thing applies to u when u have blind hate for a particualr person..the above person is putting defeat blame on sachin himself..which is not acceptable..its a team defeat including the 11 players .. Pak won asia cup due to their bowling :)

Bowlers had a role, sure. But, when you bat first, do you assume things and not score as much as you could have scored? Sachin had a role in slowing things down, which cost India 25 - 30 runs. He must share the blame with the bowlers, who were pathetic, as always. That was Sachin's second most slowest ODI hundred. Even he would agree that on any other day, he would have scored faster

i dont think kohli was wasting deliveries. and when kohli an tendulkar were batting together, the need was to build a foundation. when tendulkar started playing slow, the need was to accelerate. you need to consider the situation of the match as well before comparing. just strike rates will reveal a totally diffetrent picture. but i dont expect a blind sachin fan to understand that.

its not abt what u think..chekc the strike rate.. sachin has 77 and kohli had 80..not much diff.. and both had thought of 270 score would be enough..hence u can say judgement was wrong not intent.. nd no harm in being a blind fan...everyone is fan of some or the other . And FYI.. blame the bowlers more than batsman when international player Mr. Pthan got crumbled under pressure and bowled full tosses omne after d other. P.S. :: Pak batsman played badly in finals but their bowlers did the job.. this is never d case with India :)

both can think a score of 270 would be enough, but when the opportunity to score is there you dont say ok, 270 is what we thought so we will get 270 do you? and as i said, strike rates reveal a different picture. you just fail to look at it from a situational point of view.
and if you want to blame the bowlers, fine. but the very same bowlers did the job for us against srilanka the previous match. and the bowling attack was inexperienced compared to the massive experience of tendulkar.

So if 270 was miscalculated, BOTH Sachin and Kohli made the mistake. Right?
Kohli miscalculated against Lanka too, by not going for 350 total or more. We lost a bonus point because of it.

i am not saying anybody here miscalculated. this 270 business itself is something that yu picked up from somewhere and unleashing as a fact. anyway suppose 270 was a target predecided by both kohli and tendulkar, you dont mean to say we will get only only 270 even though the opportunity to score more is there.
and bhunu pro, i like the way that you confidently quote even 320 would not have been enough for indian bolwers. if you can make such statements, why wouldnt i be correct in aking a statement such as 'if kohli had been batting in sachin's place he would have scored much more than 114 off 147 deliveries. at least 30 more'. its easy to play with scenarios isnt it?

does not matter.. if India scored 320 ..still our 3rd grade bowling attck wouldnt have left any stone unturned in making opposition score 321..the whole crux is 290 is a good score any day any pitch if bowlers do their job to support the batsman..else anybody can blame Mahela that he made SL loos the WC final or ricky ponting making aus loose QF

against pseudos so kohli could have gained a bonus point for india against srilanka by playing more quicker than what he did? and tendulkar? he should have hit that sorry fulltoss that he got out to out of bangladesh into calcutta as well. but he hit it tamely to a fielder. perhaps he should have sored a 50 off 20 deliveries so that india could have got the bonus point.
