I think cricket is being given too much importance in India. The only reason why people talk about Indian cricket is because of the huge number of people watching it.. and hence is connected to advertising revenue .. hence BCCI becomes rich and EVEN Sharad Pawar is interested in BCCI ( and not his Food & Agriculture Ministry!!)If Indian cricket goes down, it will be good for Indian economy .. so many people will stop watching endless games ..

This just like the story of King in Birthday suite
No one wants to say but oflate all are fed up
May be we would end up in last position when Sachin scores his next Century
They have audacity to Conduct IPL during exam time

Poem for India Test Cricket Team which every kindergarten child knows -

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

In Test ranking India is certain to slim down more in near future
by subrata banerjee on Mar 30, 2012 03:11 PM  | Hide replies

Dhone has proved that he knows little about the basics of cricket's intellegence. Moreover, present indian team is having no winning bowler and in addition the indian batting line up is dangerously booked by many old players around/above 40 years of age who can peform as a batsman sometime but are not at all fit to field on the ground. There are only 2/3 new good batsmen which is not suffice to win a Test match in 5 days against any country (yes, even it is impossible for India to win the test against new entrant BANGLADESH).
Therefoe, there is every possibility for India to slip more and more in Test ranking in near future.

Mr. Subrata banerjee knows all about test cricket. He has led India to victory several dozen times. He won Arjuna Award, Khel Ratna Award, ICC Cricketer of the Year award several times.

you will receive reply very soon. just wait another 1/2 years and see where Indian test ranking stands.
Very recently India has been completely routed by BANGLADESH and push them out of birth in the final match. So, wait and see.

bro, banerjee has a point here ... our bench strength is quite weak. However as Subrata points out we might slide in to 1990s era of Azharuddin and Wadekar. Not an world class team that can win anywhere.

Gnguly showen how to be an Indian boy captain. He showed the players how to handle situations and with the helpo trio dravid, schin, lakshman he led the team to height. but he was on leave dravid asked for full time captaincy not part time, and sachin backed that and Indian team got collapsed. It is true that eago with prtners will broke life like India lost momentom. and then Dhony came as captin like ponting and he cannot survive without team support. The sewag is playing to be the captain and gambhir backs him... now Selcters shown guts to rise kohly like clark and we can see the result in some time
