Sachin intentionally stayed away from this event giving flimsy excuses. Dravid too intentionally forgot to thank Sachin. Who is the culprit here?

Sachin is no comparison to Dravid. Yyou talk about technique, temperament, discipline, grit, team player and above all a proud gentlemen. There is and there will be no one like Dravid in this Indian Team. Dravid you are simply the best.

Who said he didn't thank Sachin? he thanked the entire cricket team. Sachin is still a part, right? He only took names of people who made an effort to talk about him on stage. I guess, SRT was busy shaking a leg and gobbling compliments from a set of actors. He could have very well pushed off his medical commitment by a day to honor his long-time partner and a true team man. Don't tell me a doctor wouldn't grant a Sachin Tendulkar that much of a concession.

How can we accepted the statements if an cricket players say he play until he have passion?

Who know when will they sell their hero honda passion bikes? It not what all India fan want, we want India win that all. But without any chennai player.

Srikantha is angry me.

Sachin: I will continue to SERVE the country and be loyal to the game of Cricket which I absolutely LOVE until I keep on getting loads of money bags for endorsements or I am kicked out by the BCCI. Unlike Dravid, I do not have any shame.

Did any body notice that Sachin was absent in the Dravid's felicitation party thrown by BCCI yesterday? And the reason given in News papers is --- "A routine check-up his heel/toe before the start of IPL."

Why is Azhar not being even invited ?
by mohan on Mar 28, 2012 02:49 PM  | Hide replies

Why is one of India's classiest batsmen Azhar not even being invited ?

Yes, he is in complete mess, but he was senior colleague to Dravid. Dravid played under him.

Some day courts will clear him. But it's too late for these kinds of gatherings and invitations. Or maybe he won't be cleared. Still it is gracious if he were invited as former colleague.

BCCI has placed life-time ban on Azhar for his any involvement with Cricket and hence he cannot be invited till the ban is taken off..

Sachin the SELLfish?
by Divakar N on Mar 28, 2012 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin earns Rs100-120 crore per annum (from endorsements & not as match fee) as long as he plays competive cricket. Why should he retire? Money is everything now & he needs it after retirement. Ask our politicians whether he is wrong. Shame? What is that?

So what is your point ?
He is not supposed to earn ? play ?
Did you ask same questions to Gooch and Imran who all played into their 40s-42s ? If these athletes are able to play what is your problem ?

If you want to earn & play, then play only in IPL man and not in the National team. How much U want to earn and for how long? Give room for other youngsters also. U got your chance at 16. Let others have at atleast 26. India has a huge population and there are many many promising players who would be better than him.

Times have changed now with the zonal representation and quota system. Gone are the days when 16-year olds could play for India. ST was extremely lucky to be noticed and drafted into national team directly from school level. We really enjoyed watching vintage Sachin! But now he is a big bore. He should go gracefully now. But Rs100-120 crore is a lot of money yaar! I am only Human. Impossible to retire! Do what U want.... I will not retire...

Just Imagine ..in 16 Years he is the 2nd largest run scorer of all times. Imagine what if he has been in the team like the way Tendulkar got a chance. Dravid is definitely greater than Sachin any day.

6 months against 16 years - BIG difference.

16 years against 20 - Not much.

Very silly. You seem to have very low thinking capacity. Sachin began his career at a tender age. Others started late. This adds to Sachin's credit to have maintained this level of sanity to suffer fo0ls all the time.
