He is another spinner who has variations and not particularly a good spinner of the ball. He will be effective till international batsmen start reading him and after that, he will be easy to make runs. See Mendis and what happened to him. He was devastating against India when he started out and then became useless as batsmen started picking him. Same will be case with Ashwin and Rahul Sharma. A way better bowler is Ojha who is a conventional bowler but picked loads of wickets in county cricket. I think he will be a great one if given the right opportunities.

See, one day he will be the best bowler in the World. He is very very effective on Flat Pitches and Unplayable on Turning / Fast Pitches. He will prove to be the BEST BOWLER , ever produced in the world, Really a tarrific Spin bowler with a combination of Fast and Medium Fast Bowling

I agree. Ashwin is also a very poor fielder contributing scores to opponents both in his bowling as well as by his fielding

I am of the opinion that India should play both Ashwin and Rahul as they are the best among the spin bowlers around. They should try this atleast in Test cricket. Ashwin as a only spin option could actually backfire as often we see him to be expensive. Even if bujji is to return back then I guess Rahul should be given preference over ashwin as he is better bowler. Ashwin is being persisted with possibly because our batting has failed of late so miserably, MSD would have wanted a backup.

Rubbish. Ashwin is 'okay bowler' and a terrific batsman who has a test century to his credit. Rahul has to prove to be too good a bowler to cross Ashwin or other contenders.

No Rahul is the Best Bowler , even better than Bhajji . He should be allowed to play in each and every match. His bowling is really unplayable.
