West Indian Power
by Jomesh George on Mar 26, 2012 12:59 PM

Any player in the history of cricket cannot match Keiron Pollard in terms of brutal hitting except Chris Gayle.I think it is the carribean race and the tough conditions (like playing in the beach) that gives such a natural power to WI players.Even in the past WI had tremendous power hitters like Roy Fredericks,Clive Loyd and the one and only Viv Richards. In the recent past also WI had players like Ricardo Powell and Xavier Marshall(Who hit 12 sixes in an ODI).Also we can never forget WI fast bowlers of vintage year and the great Gary Sobers who hit 6 sixes in an over.I hope WI will make a strong come back in international cricket.

Business logic of ICC
by West Indian on Mar 24, 2012 04:06 PM  | Hide replies

Let home team win Championship or One Day series or Testmatch Series. So what we see these days is not sports but orchestrated cricket with predefined results.

Our A team (lead by Raina and without Sachin, Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvi and Zaheer) went to West Indies and won the ODI series. The full strength Aussie side failed to do that.

Surprised to note negative comments about Indian team by two people who replied. Kohli has proved in Australia his worth. The present Indian team without Sehwag and Sachin has the capacity to rout West Indies. Australian fielding is much inferior than Indians. Rohit, Raina, Kohli, Jadeja and Manoj form best fielding side in the world at present. India will bounce back soon to rule the World of Cricket.

Quality of attack
by santosh dal on Mar 24, 2012 12:16 PM

Quality of attack posses other teams comparing India is phenomenon. Even England & West-Indies have better Offspinner than us. Our spinners could not spin nor contempt the flow of runs (Ravindra Jadeja got 7cr.something for his spin).

Now I feel that WI is slowly gaining its lost glory.Polard has learnt to build his innings before and then attack.Sammy is a wonderful captain extremely unassuming and useful. He binds tthe team very well. But the most vital thig if Sunil narin.Wht an offspinner and so so accurate. He too bowls flipper and crrom ball too.1 for 21 in 10 overs needs some doing. He should be bracketedt with Swan and Ajmal as a fine offie.Roch toois good.Only if they can bring in Edwars andGayl in ththey could challange any side

No,no . do not draw any conclusions here.

Take Srilanka, who lost all their matches in Asia cup after coming back tired from a high intensity CB cup in Australia and get no rest.

West Indies is total fresh and Australia tired. Wait for the test matches when Clarke and some other test players join the team.

if Australia tired..then who else not..tell me any single top 7 teams..every one is playing in each week..no excuse..WI hammered them..left and right..thats the fact..previous game was tied due to silly run out in last over or else WI would ve won that game too
