The idea of retirement never crosses the mind of our great Bradman who can't make runs against even mediocre Australian attack but consider himself at top of the game after scoring a boring century against minnows of the game which ensured our early exit from AC.Aussie cricketers should learn the commitment to game from pretenders who thrives on wickets where you can bat with your eyes closed

Why not your retirement attack not against Flop Dhoni, Sehwag, Laxamn, Gambhir & Raina. I agree SRT needs to retire but all these listed should be kicked out.

Good, so you agree that SRT needs to retire. Why drag others in it? Is SRT's retirement contingent upon others' retiring?

as though all aussie ,south African and other great batsmen are scoring tons of centuries in Indian Sub continent pitches!!Grow up all cant be Sachin!!Others are only fit to comment from their low positions!!!
This is a profession and money matters. I think its Warner's personal choice. I luv watching IPL matches in the evenings. A lot of players have benefited from this format. A shining example is Virat. But I also agree that the IPL stretching over 2 months is really long. It will be difficult to follow it over 2 months time. It should be maximum 4 week tournament
Major England players stayed away from IPL & their team achieved No.1 rank in Test Arena. Some major aussie players like Michael Clarke & Ponting stayed away from IPL and their career got a boost in Test matches which benefited Australia.
India is the only country to achieve back2back 4-0 whitewashes in overseas series. Shame on you Dhoni & IPL.

Dhoni has never excelled in test cricket. He has even asked to be removed from this format.Selectors should have the courage to act.It is however a different matter that a buffoon who heads selection committee feel that playing & retiring in team is decided by player & not by selectors

The Indian players does not have any commitment towards the nation. They need money only... Is there any Indian cricketer who has the courage to move away from IPL? The influence of IPL is present in the team... Tests are ending in just 2-3 days. Not able to win ODI's etc.

true. but given the chance even pak players wud do the same but they hv no ipl for them so they r saints(!!!)
guys like warner would talk.... they have the contract and would use ipl only for money - indian fools pay these fellas even if they are not committed. IPL should say that they should commit to full schedule - else not recruit them. Then the truth would come out.
