he will always say so to defend himself, you should judge from your own perception not from Sachin's eyes...he took more than a year to score a hundred and he still cannot play long innings without getting too slow, so his claim of being in form is his egoistic thought

His obsession with records cost us the series.. he slowed down against bangla while reacinbg 100 and that cost us atleast 20 runs.. but our biased media fail to highlight..only kirti azad ,manjrekar, atherton have the guts to speak te truth..

India and Srilanka deserve to be out ...
by Arv Singh on Mar 21, 2012 03:40 AM  | Hide replies

Both teams played poorly in Asia Cup. Bangladesh deserve to be in the finals as they played hard with a desire to win.

Let's now talk about India. Inspired batting by Kohli, Sharma, & Tendulkar saved India some blushes as their bowling had folded 180 degrees against Pakistani batting. Indians could not take first wicket till 36th over.

It was centuries by Gambhir & Kohli against Srilanka, who compensated for poor bowling.

Indian bowling has been the weakest I have ever seen. The medium pacers are hit all over the field and spinners lack penetration.

Why is Ashwin, Jadeja, Praveen, Irfan, and Vinay still in the team despite repeated failures? Why are Zaheer, Munaf, Ishant, and Yadav not playing? Interesting how Indian pacers go in exile turn by turn. Are they out of spotlight for their annual dose of steroids by the sports medicine expert?

Why is Harbhajan not in the team? His replacements have been disasters. Ashwin is a colossal failure and only there because of Chennai SK lobby. Before all southies start jumping up and down like jumping jacks, lets compare the bowling record of two spinners:

R Ashwin
(2012) M10 W12 Av37.91 S/R46.0 Eco4.94
(After WC) M26 W33 Av33.12 S/R41.3 Eco4.81
(Career) M35 W51 Av29.62 S/R36.8 Eco4.82

Harbhajan Singh
(After WC) M3 W4 Av26.75 S/R45.0 Eco3.56
(Career) M229 W259 Av33.40 S/R46.5 Eco4.30

What are you doing, Mr. Dhoni? Poor field placement and total lack of logic in bowling changes. You are neither making it "Big" no

I guess u r merely supporting harbhajan bcoz he is from ur community ?? . And you call southies showing favoritism. Harbhajan was an arrogant idiot who should'nt be in the team. How many times hv u seen in recent years, bhajji producing match-winning bowling performances in ODI's ?

Not supporting Harbhajan because he is from Punjab. I have noticed that some players get more opportunities despite being total flops.

Jadeja, Murli Vijay, Abhimanyu Mithun, Ashwin, Ishant, Vinay Kumar, Irfan, Raina, RP singh continue to find favours with the selectors.

Selectors have been unfair to Yuvraj, Gambhir, Harbhajan, Munaf, and Yusuf. These guys are chucked out of the team on first instance of failure.

On the other hand, talented youngsters like, Wridhiman Saha, Pujara, Ojha, Tiwary, Sudeep Tyagi, Yadav, Misra, and never get enough opportunity to show what they are capable of.

It is time for a shake up
by Nikhil Shah on Mar 21, 2012 03:32 AM  | Hide replies

Starting from the top, it is about time that the management changes are made. Dhoni and the Indian think tank once again failed to impress the fans and the process cannot be changed unless Dhoni goes.

I don't think Dhoni can actually reverse the fortunes of this team, his natural instincts are too defensive in nature and that just what he is going to bet on going into the future.

The investments on PK and Jadeja both averaging above 35 cannot be considered international class. Munaf is now playing in the domestics as well as Nehra, who could have rallied with the new comers to provide a solid bowling attack since Zaheer had issues with his injuries.

First, Srikkanth has to submit his resignation, and an ideal successor to Dhoni has to be Gambhir. A new era in Indian cricket needs to be ushered.

In the Test arena, VVSL and Sachin have to be replaced, even though Sachin wants to continue it will not help the Team's cause. Rohit and Kohli have shown the maturity to take over. Plus we have Pujara, Tiwari and Rahane waiting in the wings.

In the Test bowling arena, Dhoni faultered again with Varun and Yadav not getting groomed in the last WI and England tours. For the ODIs the bowling attack also has looked listless thanks to Dhoni's selection blunders.

For Test the attack needs to be rejuvenated with Varun and Yadav at the helm. For ODIs a recall of Munaf and Nehra. Can Dhoni accommadate this? No?

He must go.

If sachin scores a century, India loses the match. If kohli scores a century, India is kicked out of the tournament.

Jokes apart, these two are the only bright spot in Indian cricket along with Gambhir and Dhoni but still gets the blame. The bowlers are enjoying a happy paid vacation and none of them gets blamed (because they keep a low profile)

Outcome of WC, 2011
by rohit on Mar 21, 2012 02:05 AM

This is because the way all boards were convinced to give WC to India. Every player was helpless because they knew that Mr. Pawar has provided enough money to set up the WC. Look at this team where we have captain like Dhoni, what a shame on his technique of batting and wicket keeping. Then we have Gautam……LOLZ he doesn’t even know how to defend or play on bouncy tracks. Then comes great Sachin who is the biggest sports endorsement model and know he can give maximum revenue to BCCI, what a fake cricketer he is, I do not even rate me near to Ganguly. Let’s talk about Sehwag, big time bully on flat tracks…he sucks while touring other parts of the world. Harbajan is again story of PM quota but nowadays given rest. Virat Kohli is just a shit talent only playing in fixed matches. Rohit is not fit for international level. Zak is a limited skills bowler. Praveen Kumar is a shame. Ashwin is just illusion of selectors but in the team because of Dhoni and so Raina. So now you tell me….How could any team become world champion having such players? This is just because BCCI generating high revenues from cricket. Every match was set up since 2007-2011.

Consequences: England tour which always used to be decent in past, this time went no way for Indian team. It was clearly visible that English cricketer’s wanted to prove that this is the worst and negotiated world champion. Not even single match was won by Indian team on English soil this time. Th
