no doubt hes the greatest because statistics is in his side..just was pondering over a few questions..he opens the innings in ODIs, this is the time when the pressure is either nil or is about to start..the middle order is the place or a situation where the real pressure will be in peak..when we were searching for regular openers, some time till viru came into the scene, sach should have opened in tests also..but, given the easy situations he likes, he didnt opt for that...i should say sachin as a middle order batsman in his formative years was far more treat to watch than sachin the opener..

You should also note.. for openers they have to face the new ball ,quick pace and a fresh pitch.By the time it comes to middle order all the 3 gets weared and teared.Though am not making the middle order position less imp, however, every position required its own skills , perfection and daring attitude !!

Veerappan, India's failure in Australia lies in failure of openers.Middle order always tumble if openers fall earlier. It is not easy to open the batting in any format of the game...you are just a poor soul..

i didnt undermine any positions..being myself a middle order bat, i know the essence of each position..but if he could do it in ODI, y hesitation in tests??

so what you are saying is if opens in test .. then he would be much greater and if he plays in middle order in ODI then he would much greater ? Arent you countering yourself as he anyway is a middle order batsmsn in test where the pressure is at "paek" as per your comment..

There is no end to human expectations.Sachin started playing at no.7 position and now he is an opener in ODI and No. 4 in test.

India win is great, but at the same time we should not Underestimate Pakistan, it is a dangerous team has capacity to change the table. After we win against them in Final then we can pass genuine comment but we can't abuse them like this because it is we ourself insulting our own Indian Culture.Comment should be logic. We should have the game spirit with us.

Sir ji.. you dont seem to be Neutral from your comments..
Everything was fixed. 1. India to win against Pakistan to get cricket mor popular in India 2. India to loose against Bangladesh- Sachin played slow for his century which cost India about 20-30 runs. This loss was not highlighted as much in media as it got lost in the euphoria of the 100th ton. 3. Now Bangladesh will win against Srilanka. 4. Indian team will be able to leave home early and get more time to prepare for IPL
