who ever are bashing sachin on this forum are just unhappy with their personal lives. I just wish them all the best in their respective lives and their endeavors. If they love their life and themselves they will definitively appreciate a hero like tendullkar.

Yup! Those "Team Players" are just poor sods. They have no idea that the game of Cricket was invented for individual players to mint Millions and say "Team what Team? I am playing for myself".

I know Sachin is around field for long time but do you have any player who plays different strokes around the field so spectators can enjoy? T20 is time pass. I am talking about test and ODI
very soon the time will come when people are going to break their tv sets if they sachin in the playing eleven...because sachin has unequivocally stated that he does not intend to retire as long as he ''enjoys'' playing...in other words he is NEVER going to retire...and like a true soldier is going to lay his body on the battlefield and will die when on duty....
very soon the time is going to come when people will get nauseated when they see him on the tv screen...
With India's loss last night inspite of scoring 294 one needs to look at the selection criteria for fast bowlers. 290 was enough and defendable against Bangladesh.
The problem is Dhoni's needs to be forced to change his methods which does not come naturally to him. You have to be a superman to be part of a frontline bowling attack for a WC winners.
The first criteria is a strong physique, adequate pace and accuracy more important in ODIs than Tests. You then also need a strong domestic record to back you up and you can never be a better bowler than your domestic record. For Test matches the criteria is bowling strike rates and for ODI it is economy rate. Other wise an economy rate above 6.0 is not good for ODI cricket even if you have pace.
Along with that include variations, form, temperament and mental attitude and toughness along with the conditions in the sub-continent.
Such a bowler does not come along very easyly. India should have retained tNehra and Munaf if Zaheer was injured till the youngsters got some experience.
Praveen Kumar is too slow and has a poor bowling SR in ODIs, Irfan is just making a return to ODI cricket and Ashok Dinda has a FC List-A economy rate of 5.2 and above. This means that his projected ODI economy rate is above 6.0.
None of the current pack of fast bowlers meet the criteria and in the sub-continent India should have prepared Rahul Sharma. Dhoni did this backwards. He went for 3 seamers in the sub-continent and 3 spinners in Oz to start
