Drop Ravindra Jadeja in his place play Yusuf Pathan. I would also like to see Yusuf open the innings with Gautii. We know how destructive a player he is down the order. Let him open give him the license from ball 1 I am sure he would do well. He also bowls well so thats an added advantage.

they dont use pathan as opener. if he clicked then tendul and sewag have to retire. so team management will not try like this option. i expecting pathan as opener for logn time. they not used him properly for long time like warne did for rajashthan royals.

India won...everything that went wrong forgotten. But when Gambhir,Kohli were playing well both were on 80's and it was around 35th over. India had 9 wickets in hand, They took the batting power play also, But none of them tried for big shots never seemed that they are targeting for big score. Both were happy taking singles and seemed like they just wanted century to happen. Just after century both got out. then it was dhoni and raina took india across 300 mark. We had so many batsmen left sitting back idle in the pavilion unused, Gambhir,Kohli act needs some justification now..... weren't they really playing for century ???

Every gentlemens want record so they go gentle after 80. Not wrong because they tire after 100, it better they hit or out after 100.
They got record also and India get fresh batsmen at greece.

good point. I expected at least one of them to accelerate. this is like a disease now that india should eradicate. Centuries have become more important than indian victory

i dont understand a point here. if the batsman takes risk and gets out, he is blamed for not "finishing" the innings, or is termed "irresponsible". if he completes his century by taking singles in the 35th or 40th over, he is blamed like "playing for records/selfish" :-)

india was saved from kohli,gambhir's selfish act by indian bowlers. had it cost the match, they wud hav been heavily criticized...
Dhoni never favors wicket keepers who have ability to bat and might click as batsman, just to keep his place safe in team. always chooses not so good batsmen like parthiv patel,Dinesh Karthik in his absence...to keep own absence felt. Victims Eg: Robin uthappa, W.saha,..

the reason why india fails in overseas... these tricks work only in limited places,conditions...but another subcontinent team like srilanka succeeds in foreign conditions just because they purely depend on skills,talents not tricks,records...

If you think it is a trick, then yeah. But if you think of it as a strategy, it needs players skills as well, which we lack in alien conditions. So strategies fail. But if you see it as a black box, then one does come to the conclusion you made.
